Everyone is going to get overpaid this summer. Would be so weird if Dwight is the guy that gets underpaid. $15-18 is probably his value, but there aren't a ton of centers on the market this year.
Dwight is going to the team that gives him the max. Find that team and you have your destination. He's not going to GS or NY unless he gets max money. If the Rockets offered him max money, he would stay. One of his reasons for opting out was a "business decision", i.e he wants max money. He's an idiot saying that he'll get 15-18 somewhere. Even Houston was rumored to be willing to give him 19-20 mill. There are plenty of dumb front offices that need a marquee player and will happily give him the max. He's not chasing rings.
Noel?: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">In preliminary trade talks, Houston pitched the Sixers a package involving Trevor Ariza and Patrick Beverley for Nerlens Noel, per source.</p>— Jake Fischer (@JakeLFischer) <a href="https://twitter.com/JakeLFischer/status/746034375368794112">June 23, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
No you do not - he has to go, he is a cancer, it is addition by subtraction with this guy, his time is done. DD
He could look a hell of a lot better with the hacking rules, depending on how they change. Offer Whiteside more, if you miss out you pick up Dwert for that price. You guys act like productive centers (hes a double-double) grow on trees. At 18 mill you can retool the whole roster. Grab Horford as a capable 4, trade Beverley+KJ+Brewer, maybe even Ariza and grab Bledsoe. Bledsoe/Harden/Ariza/Horford/Dwight+Beasley? Veteran team. Imo that is a stout team.

First the Warriors Then the Knicks Now the Hawks He's already doing what Woj said this morning. May have to hop from team to team on one-year deals to close out his career.
Maybe it wasn't the best idea to go around on a post-season media tour telling everybody how you stopped trying mid-game because you didn't get post up touches.
If we can nab Conley and Horford (or Batum / Anderson) in free agency, I would gladly give Howard decent money. Dwight would have to take a low number this year, but next year, using bird rights, I would give him 3 years / 60 million to match the other free agents. Conley / Beverley Harden / McDaniels Ariza / Brewer / Dekker Horford / Beasely /Harrell Howard / Capella
Dwight Howard would fit in with the Warriors more than with the Rockets, imo. Warriors are looking to add size, length and rebounding. Obviously, option A would be Durant. But around the league teams kind of guess Durant will take the 1 + 1 deal with OKC.
I'm sure Philly laughed at Morey's low balling, and put the phone down. There is no way that they would take Bev. Capela and Ariza might have given them a better chance, but I wouldn't have gone that far.
