Any team signing Dwight better make crystal clear what his role is and isn't.

I'd love it so much. Please do this GSW. But I have to believe Jerry West will stop it. Why change a 73 win team so drastically?

What happens when Dwight starts getting the calls he wants just because he joins the Warriors? Going to be an interesting summer.

he won't because they'll be winning.. actually if you think about it, this is a perfect place for him.. they'll draw so much double teams that all he has to do is roll every time.. plus draymond is the alpha on that team so dwight will be designated to a role player status which is what he will thrive in

I'm happy that Dwight opted out of the Rockets but IMO he's not going to the Warriors. I doubt Jerry West would sign off on him.

I thought KD to GS was absurb. Then the Dirk rumors were pretty ridiculous. Now Dwert? This is just asinine.

If he doesn't like playing second fiddle, I really doubt he would play for a team as the 4th or 5th option, especially for cheap! GSW sets screens off the ball and roll all day. I don't mind Dwight going to GSW, he hates rolling! Even if he does it the first half of the season, he will get tired of it eventually! Let's not forget he's a diva! Basketball is his second priority, being a kid is his first.

Center is a huge need for GSW as seen in the Finals. Festus is a FA also. Dwight would just fill in at starter or backup. Its ring chasing time. David West did the same.

I prefer Dwight to the Spurs. Whatever team he plays for, they will be better than houston next season:(

Then his horrendous free throw shooting will lose multiple games and the GSW run will come to an end.

Please, please, PLEASE let this happen!

What? Dwight is more injury prone and only one yr younger. And Bogut was flat out the better player the last two years. Still a defensive force and a very good passer for their motion offense.

Bottom line: GSW doesn't need to drop $25m on the C position to a player who will require changes to their offense. Dwight biggest offensive weaknesses are what Bogut excels at

Dwight's head will spin trying to figure out who to pick and when to roll. He will just be diving to the rim in untimely manners and getting in the way of the motion. Plus he's not a passing big man they require

Many, many players can fit that system better than Dwight. And he's as old as Bogut and more injury prone

Not if we have Bogut, the Dwight stopper.

So they are going to have 4 max players? Is that possible?

Agree, GS needs big men that can pass the ball. Sure they could go inside out with Dwight, since they seem to be a great shooting team anyway, but a lot of that comes from them playing fast, setting hard (aheeeem illegal) screens and their bigs mainly focusing on defense and positioning themselves for putbacks or pnr play on the offensive end.

Dwight, doesn't seem to want to play fast, isn't the biggest fan of the pnr, isn't a great passer and if GS were to play with Howard the way they are playing their bigs now, Howard's role would be even more limited than it is now in HOU.

Also, GS likes to go small - so Howard might spend a lot of time on the bench.

I don't know how all of that equals a happy Dwight.

As for the injuries, as has been said - it is not like Howard has been healthy since leaving Orlando.

If Dwight's goal is to win a championship, then he best better latch on to a team that has the makeup of a contender because he is not no missing ingredient to winning a championship on any team. That's not to say he won't contribute. He's just not going to be the player to get you over the hump. If he goes to GS, then he's basically just admitting to everyone that he is just an extra piece. The truth is he shouldn't even start on a team like GS. There is nothing wrong with the starters they have.

Dwight needs to go somewhere with lowish expectations so he can achieve them without pressure. He needs to go somewhere it looks like he's going to a contender, but not a real serious contender. So that he can help them make the playoffs, look good if they make playoffs, but not get blasted if they don't go far.

Somewhere like Dallas, Charlotte, Indiana, or like NOLA.
