Good, now the Rox can go after bigger fish like Harrison Barnes and Bismack Byiombo.

You know that business of playing to one's strengths is NOT what Dwight's about. But that being said. Dwight would fit very well in a team with a real head coach that could use his talent.
    1. Warriors obviously would be a nice home for Dwight. But he has to be willing to sacrifice even more.
    2. Dallas? Sure...but at somepoint...what do they have to win? NOTHING!
    3. Spurs...A dark horse candidate. But its really if Pop wants this headache to deal with.
    4. Orlando...He still can make it to the playoffs in such a weak east.
    5. Miami...Wade's alpha personality could make a difference for Dwight. But he will have the same issues he had here. And dont think Riley will pass up Whiteside for Dwight.
    6. Cavs....Dont have the space now. But a sign and trade for Love may not be impossible. And Lebron isnt taking ish from Dwight.

I think someone should put up a billboard that says "Stray".

    Oh wait...

LOL - everyone is saying the right things, but there is no way in hell I would want him back and I suspect the Rockets feel the same way.

Dwight opted out because he's not going to risk playing on a one year deal and instead will sign a multi-year dear that totals more than 23 mil.

Smart financial move, tbh. He know's he's not going to get more per what he got, but more than 23 million, for sure.

Exactly. That sound you hear is the entire front office exhaling.

Expected this for months. And I don't see him coming back for a discount.

Now time for us to look into the future. Right now we are without a starting caliber C.
So of the 45 million available a significant portion will have to go to that.

Maybe if he took a deep cut in pay, but obviously that won't happen.

Could we have traded D12 on draft night if he hadn't opted out ?
