I didn't doubt that the Cavs could do it, I just didn't think they would when it came down to the last minutes. I assumed a barrage of 3s from the SBs would do them in. But it's not surprising to see Irving do this. He's a take-over-the-game type of player. I saw him do it in the Olympics, we saw him do it in the All-Star game, and no doubt he has that ability. My comments when I saw Richard Jefferson miss at about 6 minutes in the 4th was, "****- they have to give it to Kyrie- LeBron's jump shot might not be there, and Jesus, you can't trust Love or JR, but Kyrie's got different ways he can beat you. He's the type who can score over 2 guys, create off the dribble, give you 10 points in a row, etc. But honestly, I didn't think he'd hit that big shot. Only b/c I had this strange feeling the basketball gods somehow wouldn't allow it. Nice to be wrong sometimes.
This is perfect time for it. It would have been really weird if he lost the finals again & if people were still on the Curry is the best player bandwagon
Nice to see what happens on a level playing ground without Bogut's BS holding, grabbing and moving/illegal screens.
And thus ends, for me, one of the crappiest, ****tiest, terrible, disappointing, rotten, horrible, disgusting, pathetic, asinine, wasteful, sickening, vomit-inducing, cringe-worthy, embarrassing, nihilistic, apoplectic, maddening, frustrating, nauseating, anxiety-ridden, confounding, bothersome, mystifying, shocking, excruciating, painful, and astronomically worst NBA seasons ever. With a decent ending.
Sorry, I do not think I provided the proper emphasis: And thus ends, for me, one of the most crappiest, ****tiest, terrible, disappointing, rotten, horrible, disgusting, pathetic, asinine, wasteful, sickening, vomit-inducing, cringe-worthy, embarrassing, nihilistic, apoplectic, maddening, frustrating, awful, nauseating, anxiety-ridden, confounding, bothersome, mystifying, despairing, infuriating, apathetic, shocking, hopeless, depressing, excruciating, anesthetizing, painful, meaningless, rage-filled, mind-numbingly stupid, and astronomically worst NBA seasons ever.

Against all odds! I'm happy for Northeast Ohio though http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/05/cleveland-cavaliers-draft-lottery-odds
Congrats to Cleveland. I was rooting big time for the warriors, but Lebron, Irving and company totally deserved the trophy. They showed up big and played there hearts out and we were treated to a phenomenal 7th game. I thought the warriors would win in 5 or 6 easily, but no excuses, they got outplayed after game 4. Almost more than the warriors winning, I was rooting for an excellent series/7th game and they delivered. Biggest reason the warriors lost, aside from Lebron/Irving/Thompson, Curry completely sucked ass most of the series. Whatever the cause or reasons for it doesn't matter, only thing that does, is that he failed to show up when it counted the most. The warriors/curry have played tremendously well 99% of the year. They put up historic numbers and played unbelievably well/clutch in so many big games throughout the season. Watching Curry and the Warriors steamroll to 73 wins, hitting huge shots, pulling out of a 3v1 hole to an unbelievable OK team was magical... but alas, the magic finally ran out, the balloon popped and Curry and the warriors were mortal and so very human once again. Instead of looking like the transcendent team and player they had been all season, they looked like the 2nd best team on the court and not anything close to 2nd or even 3rd best player on the floor. Magic Johnson and the Lakers faced a similar crushing defeat and predicament after game 7 loss in 1984 and responded with excellence, it'll be interesting to see how Curry and the Warriors respond.
This championship is great for a city like Cleveland. Like many rust belt cities, it has seen its fair share of job destruction for the past 30 years. Events like tonight can perhaps remind people that there are other places in America other than San Francisco, NY and LA.
2 things noteworthy. Vince Carter does not sound like he ever played professional basketball but has been an Sports Analyst most of his adult life. And Kyrie Irving sounds kind of like James Harden...
They're saying now that the fan who fell was in a fight with another fan, just crazy.. Critical but stable condition being reported.
LeBron James just won a championship against the best regular season team in league history with JR Smith, Imam Shumpert, and Mo Williams. That just happened folks.
