Lol at the rebroadcast of the 76 Finals ( Boston vs. Suns ): The coaches were using chalk on the parquet floor to draw up the play. On the floor! The chairs were all hard steel folding chairs for players to sit on. The scorers table had no curtain so u could see everyone's legs. Funny. In general though, basketball pretty much the same at it's core.
lol. The ending of that 76 game was even better. Havlicek hits the shot at the buzzer and the entire Boston team runs into the lockeroom and the fans storm the court, BUT there were still 2 seconds on the clock... lol. The ref meanwhile is getting assaulted on the floor by a fan. That was a great scene. 15 minutes later they get the Celtics back onto the court. You couldn't even make this stuff up. Then the Suns get a tech on purpose so they can advance the ball to half court, and respond with a tying bucket. Great game.
I agree--the Cavs' performance against the Warriors isn't a good illustration of how a Finals series against the Spurs or Thunder would have gone. The Warriors uniquely force you to defend all five positions well all at the same time. At the same time, they have decent to great defenders across the board. So you need lineups that are great defensively, great offensively and adaptable at the same time...you can't trot out lineups that just defend or just score. I think the Cavs would have much more competitive against the Thunder or Spurs. I think they'd probably have lost to either, especially the Spurs, but the match-ups wouldn't have been nearly as brutal for them.
Curry and his stupid expressions are bugging me a bit especially the two hands over his face "I can't believe my eyes!!!". The Cavs need more from JR Smith.
They need their shooters to explode like they did against Atlanta and for part of the series against Toronto. The problem is, when the Warriors actually play with effort on defense, they're choking off those shots. Not to mention, the Cavaliers can't guard the Warriors, when the Warriors play with effort and aren't shooting like crap. Basically, this is an unwinnable series for Cleveland and always was. That was obvious on paper when you looked at the actual match-ups.

Hence well-deserved MVP last year. But this year will be different because he hasn't enough offensive production. Iggy's effect is optimized when paired with other offensive weapons, his passing makes curry better specifically. However, the offensive load is still done by other players in this series. But when iggy's off, you lose the most effective defender against LBJ or other wings that others don't make up for. It's a team game.
No known timetable. How funny would it be if they rule on it Monday night, after a Warriors win, or Tuesday? Since Monday isn't a game 7, Tuesday still counts as part of the playoff period...right up to the point of Warriors winning it in 5, if they do.
The penalty will include disciplining Lebron. Lebron initiated or escalated the incident by stepping over the player on the ground. Green merely took a reflex "get off me" swing in defense of being stepped over. In my eyes Lebron is at least more deserving of any penalty. It doesn't benefit the Warriors bro. And they don't need any "help" from the league ending the series at oracle.
Oakland is already getting ready for the parade and celebration. They had put up fences surrounding the area that was use as a stage at the end of the parade last year a couple of days ago, well before game 4.
Not sure if you're implying arrogance, but that's pretty standard. Large gathering events require advance planning. They have to be ready ahead of time.
That's standard. You have to have cops and other city workers and road blocked well in advance. You can't just throw a parade with over 1 million people attending without planning well in advance.
Warriors needed to break the NBA finals record for 3's in a game and have the Cavs shoot 57% of their free throws to win by 11. I'd say this series isn't over yet.
