I was very pleasantly surprised by the first season. Although oddly enough Marco Polo was probably the least interesting character in the show. Based on the trailer it seems they realized that and somewhat reduced his importance. Looking forward to season 2!

I got about 8 or 9 episodes into the first but never finished. For some reason it never really grabbed me.

I may try and finish it up and watch season 2.

I agree with Raven Lunatic, Marco Polo is the least interesting character on the show....

    I'll be watching.

While I agree, the Marco story was strangely not really the focus of the show, and I can't really recall much of a memorable plot (except some battle for power over a great city). I can say with confidence that Marco Polo has the best hand combat ever in a TV series...and I love assassins...especialy MP's assassins.

I know I'm in the minority, but Marco Polo was one of my favorite Netflix originals. I can't put it at the top, but I was thoroughly enjoyed.

Probably just because I find the whole Polo story to be super super interesting to think about and consider.

I thought the show was well acted and written, with classic high quality Netflix cinematography.

I thought the Polo character was very solid. And I think it fair to consider though he is the titular character, the story truly historically is about way more than him.

I'm going to have to start season one over from scratch. I got about halfway through it when it was released, but I consistently fell asleep in the middle of nearly every episode and don't really remember anything. I felt that the show was decent, maybe its just not one that I can binge on.

I'm ready for the next show with the quality of breaking bad/true detective season 1.

When does that happen I don't know.

Thanks for the advice, I rewatched the entire first season and LOVED it.

Looking forward to binging on this. Feels good to get some use out of a 4k TV by watching actual 4k content.

Lol i watched the first 20 minutes of it and stopped and went back to rewatch the whole first season. I got 2 more episodes left before I catch up. It starts making more sense once you remember things.

I feel like I need to watch the first season again too. The thing with the birds and the town burning down was freaking wicked though. I was just like... WTF!
