Yeah, probably an impossible and fruitless hypothetical (like most hypotheticals). I see most of McCain's campaign floundering as distress costs. The Palin pick, for example, was because he saw he was losing to a strong candidate and needed to take a high-risk bet in a gambit to change the field. It didn't matter if he lost by a little or a lot. In that regard, picking Palin was a lost bet but not necessarily a bad bet (though maybe still a bad bet because they should have seen how vulnerable she was during a vetting). Anyway, I don't think McCain facing Clinton today would have had to resort to big bets to shake up the race. He could run on his sterling reputation of integrity and selfless service to his country juxtaposed to Clinton's weaknesses in those very same areas. With the shadow of Bush's presidency now 8 years removed, and the sheen of making historical election choices for minority candidates seemingly worn off (I'm really surprised to see such little enthusiasm for the coming milestone of electing our first female president ever), I don't see him coming in with any significant baggage. Excepting, of course, that he couldn't win the Republican nomination in this environment.
Agreed. This is where the intransigence of Bernie and his supporters irritates me most. Getting them on board could make a huge difference nationwide down the ballot.
That idiot just can't control his mouth. You really can't be POTUS while being that undisciplined, emotional and egomaniac. He think the judge is biased? Fine, but he need do better than attacking one's heritage. It is just low. This year's candidates are just horrible, and I won't vote for either.
While I'm glad that this buffoon has one less supporter, I'm intrigued by your decision to make this choice at this time. He has been saying ignorant, racist **** for years now. Hell, I believe the only reason he's a republican at all is because we elected a black man to be president. So it is okay to trash Mexican people but not Mexican-American people? How about a president that doesn't trash anyone? Why support a candidate where each statement could be the straw that breaks the camel's back? This isn't even specific to REEKO...even prominent GOP leaders like Paul Ryan seem to be like, "Yeah, Trump's our guy! I just really hope he doesn't do any more crazy ****..." Perplexing to say the least.
$3 billion dollars worth of promotion for free, in a society that is hounded by commercials at every turn and should be immune to it, but never is.
Texas is already led by the idiot extremists. It just so happens the state is still strong enough to not be a complete *****hole like the rest of the ex-Confederates.

I don't like the lighter tones of these ads as if it's comedy. It's not comedy. It's not something to laugh at. It is amusing but I think as a political ad it softens the attack too much. It might play well to the base, but it won't persuade people.
The Republicans couldn't organize a unified response during the primary. What makes you think its possible for them to get a majority of delegates to vote together to rewrite the convention rules so that Trump can't win on the first ballot?
Nothing surprising here, but... And no, it doesn't mean that Trump isn't a climate change denier. It is just Trump being Trump. http://grist.org/politics/donald-tr...al&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer

LOL @ conservatives circulating and believing a zombie picture as an abused Trump supporter. http://www.sfgate.com/entertainment/article/Actor-Bruce-Campbell-says-conservative-tweet-was-7972890.php
Nobody that hot would vote for Trump. Maybe Trump felt he needed to go over the top on climate denial to shore up his base before they found out he signed on to these liberal movements. Doesn't matter to me his motivation, we don't need a denier in office. It's on my extremely long list of why I won't vote for Trump.
Some interesting quotes by investors in Trump's casinos. It's incredible how unprofitable the guy was: Basically he was a disaster and a con man in his business dealings. Big Surprise! http://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/12/nyregion/donald-trump-atlantic-city.html?_r=0
