Part of what makes Vancouver so great to me are the down-to-earth people. I'm not sure it would stay that way if it was part of the U.S.

Vancouver is the most peaceful big city I've been to.

I wonder if it or Seattle would be smaller if they were in the same country because of the direct competition between them. Vancouver is in a geographically advantageous spot as the southwestern-most city in the country. As a US city, it's a bit redundant with Seattle. Probably one wins out as the better port and becomes the main city in the area.

Why didn't anyone ever want to play there? I've never been, but looking at photos of the city, i was blown away at how beautiful it looks. Heard they have lots of bums, though what city doesn't?

Love Vancouver, my favorite city in Canada. Stanley Park and the beach they have there are AWESOME during the summer.

So expensive to live their though, with that in mind I'm going to be a cheap ass and stay in Houston

Boston, Utah and Indiana have built some heavily white contenders throughout the years. I guess the Grizzlies tried and failed by selecting Big Country Reeves with their first pick. They should have picked Mighty Mouse. Stoudemire might have stayed seeing as how Vancouver is much closer to his Portland home than Toronto was.

I miss the old Grizzlies color scheme and tribal designed trim cut. Just needed to modernize that look and get rid of the big logo on the chest like the other 90s teams.

mighty mouse was originally drafted by toronto brehs so was marcus camby.

    the team that never was...

    Marcus camby
    Tmac
    Vince carter
    Damon

would have made an incredible sega dreamcast lineup.

My favorite city. Doesn't ever get deep snow since it's close to the coast. Has beautiful scenery, really animal friendly (They have a dog beach), Stanley Park is beautiful to walk through, their sky train is amazing. Can take it from the airport to Whistler for some skiing. Gorgeous mountains in the background as well as the coastline. Loved how pedestrian friendly it was with so many different ways to walk or use much more efficient public transit. I don't think I'd need to own a car living in that city. The people are really friendly. Only downsides are how expensive it is and their homeless population. I know Austin's homeless linger around 7th and Red River, but their homeless population seems to be staggeringly more than any modern city I've been in that wasn't 3rd world.

You can't afford housing there because Chinese people bought up everything

Pretty hipster in certain parts, so depending on your political stance, you might not like it

    Rains everyday in the winter

other than that probably one of the greatest cities in the world

just personal preference...but I found Portland to be the goldilocks zone between the urban squalor of Seattle and beaver pelt of Vancouver. Wouldn't throw any of the three out of bed for eating crackers though...

Vancouver is high on my list of places to visit. Would make it Vancouver and the surrounding area.

Have been to Seattle - loved it.
Have been to Portland - work trip, end of November, gloomy and rainy, still thought it was a super cool city

    Love the PNW in general.
