Not as much as I used to, but that's not because of the RIAA, it's because I can't think of anything else to download. Mostly now I just look for rare bootlegs. I wonder if the RIAA would sue someone with thousands of bootlegs on their computer. Hmmm....
Hell yeah, the people who get sued are the ones who download entire albums and thousands of songs. If you operate under the radar, you'll be fine.
Yes, because with Kazaa Lite, their is new spyware, which means no RIAA. Also, I thought the ones being sued were the ones who illegally put songs up for download.
Sure. I have Blubster on one computer to download, then move the file to another computer to use. I never have more than 1 or 2 files in my share folder.
Yes, although these days it's mostly videogame MP3s as there isn't much else interesting out there these days. I have been more careful about what files I share. Ever since I discovered Soulseek, I've stopped using Kazaa and even uninstalled it. That along with PeerGuardian (which blocks RIAA IP addresses) means that I can download and share with very little if any worry about the RIAA. BTW, f**k the RIAA.
Of course. Not gonna stop till they sue me haha. It's not illegal to download it, but it is illegal to share, so I just don't share it and it'll be fine.
How about downloading songs, and then moving them from your (wink wink) shared folders? Not that I would know.
I have close to 2000 songs... but the key is, that they are mostly from albums that I have procured. I dont really have songs that I dont have the real CD for, like maybe 150 or 200.... so if the RIAA wants to sue me, they can come over here and see all the CD's that I have and shove them all in a certain orifice.
You guys suck much ass. There is NO EXCUSE for not sharing. I don't care if you're on a freaking 14.4kbps modem from 1993...you still have to share. If everyone tried to be "smart" and turn off file sharing or moving files out of their shared folders, you wouldn't get any songs either. To the people who replied with "I download and then move the files out of my shared folders...I'm so smart": you're not. It'll just be a matter of time... If you're scared about being caught then don't download. That's the only solution. If you're going to get on the network and download then don't be a gay ass and start sharing!
def. not as much. You get those songs that are all messed up intentionally be the rec. companies. I actually bought a few cd's, but still would rather download before I buy. Vinyls are still the best.
