This is just silly. Kyle Korver is a great shooter, but nothing else is exceptional. These types of players can easily be shut down. He isn't just a great shooter, he is arguably the best shooter in the history of the NBA. He is an "exceptional" scorer who led the league this year, also he led in steals. Curry has been playing for 7 years. Compared to Nash in his first 7 years and they aren't even close. Curry has been so much better. His game should age well, but his place in history will depend on his health. He would be lucky to have 80% of the longevity of Nash.
Saying someone is not an "all-time great" in the company of Jordan, Magic, or Hakeem is not such a horrendous insult. I'm not a scholar on his career, but here's the basis for my argument: 1) If his shot is off, he can't "will" his team to victory regardless. Luckily, his shot doesn't go off often. Still, I like a guy who - when needed - can just commit to going all out to the basket with the only way to stop him being fouling. 2) I have never seen a team collectively work to get one player so many 3PA's. We're talking 11+ 3PA's!!! It seems unbelievable to me, but I look at how these guys like him and Klay and others hit these long distance shots, and I think this may just be the way league is heading. I get the feeling Ricky Pierce and Eddie Johnson's kids are going to be knocking down 10 3PM's a game in a few years. 3) He just seems delicate. It did not seem like what happened in the Houston series should have caused so many issues.
Curry was out because they had a free pass through the first two rounds of the playoffs. I don't believe one minute that he is as 'injured' as people are trying to make out to be. That was damage control conveniently planted when Golden State got in hot water. Curry put the dagger in OKC. Lol. Gets all the credit for wins but none for losses. I guess Klay didn't hit double digit 3s that game. Each side is just as bad as the other side - who they accuse of lying to further their points.
He's the greatest shooter ever who als manages to be one of the best passers, one of the best rim attackers and a decent defender. Add in brains, clutch and poise. Nothing in isolation except his shooting is "never seen before". But as a package? That's EXCEPTIONAL. This is where you utterly have lost the plot. You are looking at the long bombs and that makes you flip the table... which causes you to miss that he has the complete package as nobody has done before. Okay he's not 7ft with accompanying rim protection. But other than that, he's got it covered and then some. Exceptional.
This has nothing to do with Westbrook fans, and everything to do with Rockets fans who still think Harden should've won MVP over Curry last year. lol.
Yup. From now on, salty Harden fans are going to declare anyone Curry plays is better than him. It reminds me of how Portland fans used to constantly try to downgrade Jordan to prop up Drexler.

All I remember about WB is him laughing at the MVP and then get destroyed by the MVP. Then he disappear and we haven't heard a single word from him. The guy ran into the locker room as soon as the game was over and all we hear is Durant talk. WB went silent after getting destroyed by Curry
