With the addition of Juwan Howard, will the Mavs still have the cap room to resign him? I think it might be in the Rockets best intersts to maybe go after Finley and resign Mo rather than Webber. Mo is playing like a man possessed now, and seems to be getting along well with Steve, Cat etc. Just a thought.

The Mavs will have Finley's Bird rights, so they can easily resign him to the max. Cuban loves him there, he is the star in Dallas, and there's not much of a chance he'd leave. Not a bad idea, just all indications are he'll stay in Dallas, and they definitely have the money to do it.

Cuban is also loaded, so he doesn't mind paying the luxury tax.

As I understand it, Finley and Howard are pretty close, so if anything he'll stay because they brought Howard in. I think Cuban will do anything to keep Nash, Finley, and Nowitzki together.

If he left, which he won't, I doubt he would he would go to a place so close to Dallas in Houston. Chicago is the only team he has been associated with, and he's not going to go to a losing situation.
