Is there such a thing as a Defensive Coordinator capable of coaching 4 on 5 defense? For those that think we're suddenly going to become an offensive juggernaut, where are all these scorers & where were they last year? The only consistent one I remember was Harden & even he disappeared from time to time. I can see a 140-47 loss coming if they can't get the offensive players we need. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but we could see one of the ugliest games in NBA history next year. It's going to be a long year.
D'Antoni was not my first choice, preferred to bring him in as Asst. Coach instead, but it is what it is. Crying about it does nothing. Let's get him the best D assistants and kick some serious ace. He really is not the worst hire, and this is his last chance as HC. He is very motivated to not only prove everyone wrong but get a ring.
It'll be glorious when along with DAN DAN TONI, they also bring in Ryan Anderson & some other all offense no defense free agent! I want a 175 to 174 final score!
Convincingly, Les Alexander has finally showed the world how inept his basketball decision-making skills really are. Let's all not forget he inherited the championship teams of 93 and 94 when he took over as Rockets owner. Fast forward 20 years later, Les has nothing to show. By picking Pringles himself, he also gives Morey an out in case we continue to stink. Great job Les. You are doing Houston fans a solid. Thank you.
Relax, probably half the Morey lovers are being paid to post here. Yeah, a lot of them have some seniority, but who says that Morey laid his defenses yesterday?
Now y'all can see why I haven't posted that much this year. What a joke of an organization my Houston Rockets have become in 11 months time. It sickens me to know end. My Rockets!!

Edit: Deuce beat me to it. Mike D'Antoni's system requires the exact right players, as Rockets will learn
J.R. Not happy about the MDA hire. But it will be interesting to see how Morey shapes the roster to fit MDA's system.
I don't know what this guy is talking about. He's listing examples of teams that failed at playing at a fast pace because they weren't built to play at a fast pace... but the Rockets have been playing at a fast pace for years. So they obviously have the ability to play that way. Not a good argument from that guy.
Looks like an early "Cringe" became true. Silas was looked at heavily, along with Hollins as well as a combo. I'm not hearing much yet, other than the decision wasn't held in complete support by everyone involved. It sounds like someone wanted a "name" after this disastrous season. From an "ear," this is far from a Morey move, but I guess you cooperate when the heat is on. Personally, I'm not a huge fan, but MikeyD does know how to make adjustments, and we haven't seen that done properly in the last 4 years. Harden will look pretty good in this offense, but as many have noted, you need the right players to make this work. If Mikey stays true to his past vision on offense, you could easily dump half of our roster. My guy Marcus Thornton would have thrived in this, but I anticipate some significant moves to be made to bring in some shooters. We've had our eyes on some Birds for awhile. We may finally get our chance.
Thank you Codman, i always wait for your posts and i appreciate what you do. I just hope one of the Birds is not Anderson but Horford
