Barkley just invoked the Harden Rule for Curry: less defense to focus on offense...

I'm thrilled for my guy Billy D! I was at Florida when we won back to back. I remember hearing Bill Simmons and Haralabos slamming his coaching earlier this year. Glad he's proving them wrong.

But unfortunately this Thunder team looks too good for my Cavs and will do them in. Before this turn of events, I thought it would be a good idea to have Kyrie take it to Curry just to wear him out. Instead Westbrook will just do more of the same if these two teams meet.

Chuck just essentially said Curry shouldn't have to play offense and defense. Defense takes too much from his offense. Where am I, the twilight zone!? Where was this when they were ripping into Harden?

People need to give Harden a break, dude doesn't have anyone who can shoot on his team.

Kenny was wrong. The Rockets had to win 2 games in Phoenix in order to come back from that 3-1 deficit.

OKC is playing with house money in game 5. OKC in game 6 looks promising though

"He cannot play defense and offense . . ." - Barkley
"Him having to play defense seems to be taking away from his offennse." - Kenny Smith

They are literally the veritable compendium on ISO offense - which people around here tell me is the worst thing ever and indicates an awful coach. Funny how two guys making huge plays in the playoffs makes a coach a genius while he was a moron throughout the year with the same offensive strategy.

Curry is sucking but Klay goes all world
    Where is Harden's Klay Thompson?

Curry forced to actually play Defense and he is suffering for it .

Well, I disagree with him but Curry is unstoppable when he's on ...on the point of an "NBA history sort of level."

Harden gets neutralized easily, especially if you don't let him flail his arms and get in his had.

    apples/oranges.

Chuck just said THIS: “Steph can’t play offense AND defense. He has to play well for GSW to win.”

MadLib Harden’s name in there. Web melts

At Florida, Donovan was a "hands on" coach who insisted his players play the right way. Anything but a soft touch. He was in control at all times. OKC needed a coach like him that would finally impose his will on the players. Everyone saw their two championship teams, but even after that, watching UF play basketball was a pleasure. He was good at getting the max of what he had to work with.

It hasn't been pretty this year. College to the NBA is a big adjustment and it takes time to build cred with guys like KD & WB.

He lost Monty Williams in early February in what was a huge blow. About a week later, Mo Cheeks went out with hip surgery. To his credit, Billy the Kid kept things from collapsing. Talk about a baptism by fire. Not many veteran coaches could have done that.

I didn't think they would hit stride until next season. Glad to be wrong.

It's not physical, otherwise why the huge Game 2. It's tactical. Curry had trouble because of basketball reasons not injury. Donovan/WB/durant iare doing two things to him--one on defense and one on offense--which are both taking him out of his rhythm and tiring him out

harden's playoff stats last year are better than any westbrook playoff run until this year, so not as many bad shooting, high TO games as might be believed and not indicative of westbrook having always been better. and of course, poor shooting isn't exactly something westbrook has been immune to given his vastly lower efficiency than harden. this year's playoff run by westbrook is amazing.
