    If the plan is..

    1) Hire D'an
    2) Dwight ops out
    3) fire D'an immediately

Okay.. just hope it doesn't effect future signings and trust issues.

Missed long distance shots leading to fast breaks the other way.

Jeff Van Gundy. Dave Joerger. Frank Vogel. All excellent coaches that can provide defense and structure. Components this team needs. This off season, the Rockets did not interview ANY of them. Disgraceful.

Would like to see it. Have heard nothing out of Minny since Thibs hire about his feelings towards keeping or trading Rubio. But knowing Thibs passion for the defensive end, I can see him wanting to keep Rubio. But I'll be watching to see what they do in the draft. Poeltl looks like a nice 5 to put next to Kat. But at least one of Dunn, Murray, Baldwin will be on the board. So if they go with one of those guys then Rubio might be available for some assets.

Rubio would average about 12 assists running an hyper-speed break offense. And would be very entertaining. Rubio and Batum bookending Harden may be a monster three-some to deal with on both ends.

Batum is not leaving the Hive; Rubio can play with himself but not be Nash 2.0. No way. Rozier might just be the surprise find of the MDA era, if one should eventuate which I hope does not.

You don't need MDA, just don't resign D12. Some simple stuff to me. However, I could see Capela thriving in a PnR and put pack type of role. I hope he develops strength and some post moves if they cheat off him.

Think about this, Dream has said absolutely zero about D12 staying.

How exactly would the Rockets pull off a Rubio trade, what assets do we have that Minnesota would want?

Dunno. #12 pick would have been nice.:mad::mad:

Perhaps a s&t'd DMo.....if they draft a pg and keep Kat at 5. Or perhaps a future 1, plus whatever asset we could get from Chicago for Bev plus headless chicken thrown in for salary matching.

ok and? Dream is not part of front office decisions so I don't see why that even matters. And its not about the Rockets resigning Dwight, he can easily opt in

I hate to say it, but we could really become one of "those teams." The kind that for years have induced my pity and snickering at the same time.

Maybe Les is in a new phase of ownership and just wants to turn the crank and keep the money coming out of the machine. Or, more hopefully, maybe he's admitting we need a serious rebuild in the next many years.

This summer will really say a lot. Hiring Pringles, to me at least, would say a **** ton. That's either treading water or just fielding an entertaining rebuild team.

National media thought the Rockets worst case scenario was David Blatt. They were very wrong...
