The baseball season is a little too long I'd say and it is more boring than other sports, imo. 82 seems a little short, but 100 would seem about right, nice round number.
The irony is that cricket was so slow that we invented baseball so that we had a faster game. Now it's the slowest game. You can play baseball alone. Trust me. I played a hundred and sixty two games with nothing more than a throw pillow in my living room. I stole a lot of bases that way. I was pretty fast. 162 games is a must. Tradition man. Baseball was built on statistics. They could never drop it in half. I don't even see it at possible from a historical standpoint. The one thing baseball has that no other sport does is stats. If you take that away baseball has nothing on the other sports. What baseball is going to do is start charging more money when the Yankees are in town. Take that to the bank.
I love it that long. WHat else are people going to do if it was half its current lenght? It's perfect.
Yup. I bought one off of Ebay (Australia). But I wasn't able to install the modchip in my PS2. By the way, as much as I can't stand watching baseball, I absolutely love playing it. Its weird huh? I've been to one Astros game in the Dome and fell asleep in the second inning.
The "unbalanced schedule" makes the season seem so much longer than it is. Playing in division teams as many times as they do makes it seem like you are always playing the same 5 teams. I want to see more of the other teams, or more teams total.
The stats kill me too They seem to get dang near ridiculous The Batting against left handed pitchers east of mississippi in states starting with C on wednesday Rocket River
