JVG or Adelman both Morey and Les are crazy, we were screwed either way.

JVG is so popular because he's practical. Les Alexander is about the lime light moves. It's like oil and water. Les Alexander is the owner, so it's his call; but a bad move in my opinion.

JVG is so practical he refused to get the Rockets out of the first round.

So practical he was owned by Boozer.

The rumors were all true. Les wants a high paced offense and he didn't think JVG would deliver that. And he could be right, but you know what I want? A f'ing winning basketball team. And defense wins championships. There's a reason the Spurs always had the edge over the Suns last decade in those playoff series(aside from one season when San Antonio was in a transition period). Because one team was great defensively while the other one only knew how to score.

I've had this opinion for a while, but now I feel secure in stating it as fact. The Rockets will never be a serious contender for the title again until they have a new owner. We can rag on Morey all we want, but he's just doing Les' bidding. The man has had this organization mired in mediocrity for nearly 2 decades now save for two seasons(2009, 2015). He either has no clue what he's doing or worse, he doesn't care and is only interested in turning a profit.

You will NEVER find a coach more dedicated to bringing a title to H-town than JVG. He was loyal to the city and fans FIRST.

Good luck finding that with Pringles or any other choice they are considering...

dedication? JVG never even sniffed a championship here but he's the answer to our prayers? That's pure delusion.

I also don't recall JVG making adjustments to stop Boozer from fronting Yao TWO YEARS IN A ROW either. Funny because I thought that's what coaches do, adjust.

WTF does this have to do with anything?
Every head coach in the NBA wants to win championships.
Being a "Houstonian" as JVG now is doesn't make him a great coach.

I'm not sure why everyone is up in arms at this particular news. JVG hasn't coached in years and has been passed over by a bunch of organizations now.

Want to be upset about Pringles seemingly being in the lead?? that makes PERFECT sense. But if you don't like Pringles, you shouldn't be that upset about JVG not being the coach either. He has similar problems as pringles, albeit on the other side of the equation.

Heaven forbid the Rockets try and find a coach that excels in all facets of coaching!!

"Morey ultimately decided that the organization wanted a different kind of coach"

Morey falling on the sword for Les.

Sorry...but this really doesn't matter to me. Any coach who signs on here will be attempting to win games for Houston.
