Looks like the same situation that Coles was in earlier, though this crew explained it a whole heck of a lot better than Simms. Sounds like you can have possession and feet inbounds, but if the ball in your hand bobbles after hitting the ground out of bounds, it could be a incomplete. I guess, anyways.
Damn, T-Ham has actually looked pretty good. Hopefully he's coming into his own and not just the fact that the Jets are bad...
Oh crap NO! They played Kid Rock's Cowboy song! The last time I remember hearing it with the Cowboys was back in 99, I believe, when the Cowboys were 3-0, and then they have sucked ever since. DIE KID ROCK....OR LEAST YOUR SONG!
Great win. Q looked good. His decision making has been spot on all season so far, which I never thought would happen. He's had some mistakes, but every qb in the league makes some mistakes. And I thought Parcells was bsing when he said he saw something in THam. Guess I was wrong. THam had a great game, looked quick for the most part, delivered some blows to the Jets, and didn't go down easy. Next up vs Zona. Another interesting game that the boys should win.
IIRC, this little stretch of games has a few should win games. We got ARI, PHI, and DET, IIRC, with PHI being the only game I'm not sure of.(PHI has started bad, but they are the Eagles.) I want to say there is another game in here that I'm missing, but basically the team could gather some momentum before starting to play those tough teams on the schedule. Who knows, if they win these next 3 and then surprise the others, they could have a few wins. Of course, Parcells and the team haven't, or shouldn't look at that. Just Arizona for now.
I have tix to the Cards game. It's gonna be sad seeing Emmitt running out in scarlet and white... I'm a little worried about that game, only because over the past couple of years Emmitt's been at his best when he was on the national stage or if he felt slighted. I could see him getting really pumped up and tacking 150 yards and three scores on us. But as long as the 'Boys win I really don't care how many yards he gets...
Great win... Parcells is the man...Quincy is getting more comfortable every game...He's no Montana, but its all about execution...
I'm pretty sure Galloway had a TD catch against the Falcons. About the catch rule....You have to complete the catch which means you have to bring it in. Coles failed to bring it in even though he had taken 3 steps (small ones but doesn't matter). He caught the ball with his arms extended and as he was falling out of bounds the ball bounced out once it hit the ground therefore it is incomplete. If he had brung the ball to his chest then it would have been a completed pass. The same thing happened against the Jets. I think it was Wanye C. when he was falling out. He had 2 hands on the ball and 2 feet in but the ball hit the ground and helped him hand on. Since the ball hit the ground it is incomplete. I haven't heard about this rule before until yesterday but I understood it though. I hope I cleared it up a little bit for you guys.
Yeah, you're right. At the heat of the moment, I was trying to put a cool stat, and I could have sworn somebody else scored a TD that game, but I couldn't remember. Hehe...kind of tried to forget a lot about that 1st game. Still, they almost doubled their offensive TDs in one game. As for the rule, I think a couple people on ESPN said the refs got the call wrong in the Redskins game and right in the Cowboys game. I understand the part about the ball coming out after hitting the ground out of bounds, but do you really need to bring it in, especially if the ball doesn't bobble after 2 or more steps? I guess if someone were to catch it, but not bring it in, and then run 99 yds and then fall out of bounds causing the ball to fall out, it would be incomplete? I don't know if that could actually happen though. Reading over it again, I think I kind of get what it means...sort of. Man, the NFL has some crazy rules. I never heard of the rule either.
Well...We know ESPN doesn't have the smartest of people working. I still think that the pass was incomplete for Coles. The reason is because he never brought the ball in(didn't complete the catch). I hope we never see anybody catch the ball with his arms extended and run like that for 99 yards and fall out of bounds. It would be funny to see that but not in Silver and Blue!!! Oh...add me to to Cowboy fanlist too....for those who dont know that I'm a Cowboy fan.
Greg Ellis just signed an extension. Just wanted to stick it here since the Cowboy fans will probably read it and I won't have to make a new thread on something not that important. You can read the details here. IIRC, it said that for the most part, it was a bargain. I know very little about NFL contracts, so I can only take their word for it. Hopefully, Greg can concentrate more on football and maybe play a little better. We still haven't had much of a pass rush, which seems to be the biggest problem that has been seen in every game. Also, the Cowboys are again at the top in offesive yards. (388.7) I read that Gowin took himself out of kickoffs because his quad was still hurting. Kind of worried about that since I believe it has been hurting since before the Giants game. Granted, he's just a punter, but those hidden yards count. Man, I've been reading too much about Bill Parcells. Kind of figured you were one. Glad to have you. Just try to ignore any of the haters. I actually try to have fun with them and then they tend to leave us alone. For example, if they say QC sucks, say," Of course he sucks. He's the Anti-Christ," kind of like Surfguy says, though I hear he likes him now. Oh, and occasionaly put 19-10 in your posts. That way it won't be posted in here in giant letters 15 times.
