Most rap I just like the beat and the words are just noise to go along with it or can be slightly catchy even if it doesn't make sense. It's the rappers like Cole, Kendrick, Lupe, and a few others that have A+ Lyrics.
Just about any rap song...ever. However, lil wayne gave us this gem: "You homo a$$ nigg@$ getting AIDS in the a$$"
Yes, think it's a great pop song. Her recent output (or more accurately, her team of producers and songwriter's output) has been way better than anything Jay-Z had done in quite some time.
Gotcha. That's a fair point. I just can't stand her to even give a listen. Jay Z has fallen into the "I'm larger than life" category where he feels he doesn't need to put out stuff. When he does, it's not anything that holds much value imo.

I wouldn't consider it rap, but it's close enough. That stupid ass 'whip nae nae' song really grinds my gears every time I hear it.
I remember there was some "Shelly D" song that sampled a Four Seasons song, and Biz Markie was signing the refrain; just awful.
