Nobody has to apologize for liking or disliking a team. You can despise the Warriors all you want or love 'em to death.

Curry's greatness should be enjoyed, especially considering how much he's improved himself since being drafted.

I wouldn't let exaggerations by others affect you. Hyperbole is what fans do, especially with historic players like Curry.

"This keeps coming up here and there, even more so lately, including somebody asking me about it at a speaking engagement a few weeks ago, so I decided I might as well toss out what I knew back in 2012 and check around now to clear up some apparent confusion…

-Short-answer: When the Warriors and Bucks were discussing and then finalized the milestone March 2012 trade, featuring Monta Ellis for Andrew Bogut, that was always the main focus of it.

-Shorter-summary: No, despite persistent suggestions (and even a blurry Joe Lacob quote from 2012), the Warriors never considered putting Stephen Curry into this deal and in fact Milwaukee never asked, anyway.

-New information: In fact, there was a young Warriors guard the Bucks asked about–and the Warriors declined to put into the trade–but it was then-rookie Klay Thompson, not Curry, according to multiple league sources."

I'm sure many GM's "tried" or "almost" did deals they would've later regretted. The point is the deals fell thru one way or another so the GM gets credit even if there's some luck involved. If anything he put together a team full of personalities that get along and support each other and mesh well. Something that apparently matters a lot after watching this disaster of a season.

Also, if the second part is true it shows he's willing to listen to others around him and isn't a stubborn GM that does whatever he wants regardless of other input.

Not sure what your point is anyways. This is a results driven league and the Warriors have produced.

They offered Green or Barnes, just like they offered Monta or Curry.

    They are lucky

You're now wrong twice on both trades. Just give it up. The front office is simply a well run group. No problems giving credit when credit is due. And remember sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. In this case, they're both. But either way, you're wrong on both trade accounts.

So he kept Curry, kept Klay, Kept Draymond, got his man in Bogut anyways, gave up the right guy in Ellis, fired Mark Jackson after a 51 win season and hired Kerr which was not only a major surprise but thought of as a downgrade by many and a lateral move at best. Missed on Dwight and hit on Iggy in addition to other moves?

Damn, that logo really is a prophet.

I love me some Steph Curry. Just comes off the bench nursing an injury and drops 40. No ego, plenty of heart and team play. Great leader.

My 2 favorite players far and away in the NBA right now

    Steph Curry
    Kawhi Leonard

Not clear if anyone else here was a GSW fan at the time, but the whole point of trading the ball-dominant Monta was to give curry more room to develop.
