Just remember except in his first year at Indiana (where they ranked 3rd) Carlisle's Pacers were in the bottom half of the league in offensive efficiency including dead last, his last season. His first year at Dallas, The Carlisle Maverick's were 5th in Offensive efficiency. Our best hope if we do in fact go with Vogel is that it was more of a personnel thing and Vogel needed a fresh start.

 

My sources are saying Vogel has declined.

 

Us interested in Vogel basically confirms Morey still believes in Moreyball. Which I don't quite understand. Moreyball is the worst and has crippled this team. Vogel is dumb enough to let Morey dictate the offense and that's exactly why so many here want him. Instead of hire a coach that'll have his own strategies, we're chasing guys who'll implement the same stuff that failed us this season

He's been essentially the GM of the Pacers since 2003 and has never made the Finals or won a title obviously.

Initially I was ALL over Vogel....Now upon reading that his offenses stink and more alarming that he's a player's coach, I'm kind of....eh.... If that is the case he's about the same as JVG on defense (great) and offense (bad), but in all likelihood won't command the same respect as JVG from Harden....so I guess JVG > Vogel for now.... But JVG is FAR from a perfect fit either. I miss RA

 

Hopefully he'd have enough sense to keep Brewer glued to the bench

 

He has a ton of championship experience to draw from and knows how a locker room works.
