So we SnT 'a wanna be superstar' James Harden, 'a wanna be coach' JBB, 'wanna be with JBB' Corey Brewer, 'I don't care' draftpicks and other 'wanna be real good bench players' scrubs for 'a top 3 two-way superstar player' Paul George and 'real coach' Frank Vogel?

I would take Vogel over JVG any day of the week.

That was just political correctness, especially since JVG is probably the next head coach.

If Vogel were to stay, Bird would have a different press conference which would cover the Vogel's extension/renewal.

If Bird and Vogel were negotiating a contract, one would imagine that Bird would told Vogel of the team's future and that those cntract talks would be tweaked (twitter + leaked).

Larry Bird of the Pacers said he wants more offense. Anyone who watches the Rockets knows we need more defense, better defensive rebounding, and less turnovers. The Rockets actually improved offensively this year in Off Rtg.

Those comments [by Bird] were basically writing on the wall. #Hegone is right.

He should be our #1 or #2 choice and Morey needs to just get him locked up.

I dont' understand why Bird would fire Vogel. He did a great job in developing their young talent and making the playoffs and was so close to making the second round.

But Bird is a very stubborn man. Wonder if he has his eyes on another coach already.

If Vogel is available we should give him an interview for sure at the very least.

All signs point to Bird being frustrated with the lack of offense and pace.

If Bird wants offense why doesn't he just hire Mike D'Antoni and sign Ish Smith as a FA?

Also Indiana will have if I remember correctly plenty of capspace available and the only one of their own they will want to retain should be Mahinmi. (they can't resign Solo Hill because they can't offer him much money with the illogical mistake they did).

Perhaps this is also tied with their free agency. Do they want a coach to recruit some big name? Whiteside perhaps or Horford?
