Anyone got stats of Durant and Harden together without Westbrook the year they went to the finals?

I'm sure KD and Harden have thought about it ["what if"], separately if not together.

Do you honestly think that's a better rotation compared to what OKC currently has? Better than SA? Better than GSW?

    That's, at best, a 2nd round team.

What he described? No, it's not better.

What the team would actually look like if KD came here? Yeah, it would be better than OKC.

Well, anything is possible. Or KD waits it out one more year with a 1+1 and KD+RW can both take their talents elsewhere...

Looking back in the past with LMA in Portland and LeBron in Miami, it was interesting to see how the situations for them changed from January to July in their FA years. Things went downhill enough in their minds they made changes. If feels like that is what is going on with Durant now. And being perhaps blown out in many games and maybe even swept, could really push KD to making the jump.

By all accounts he is looking forward to the FA process. That says a lot right there.

Very true, like ive said before. If the Thunder get swept, Kd is leaving for sure. If okc beats spurs and lose again warriors, than maybe he gives okc one more year.

Not that you ever want to lose a player like KD, and certainly you don't want to lose him for nothing...

But if the Thunder get swept, or even lose 4-2... isn't the Thunder day in the sun done? I mean maybe you can make the argument that its Donovan's first year, and they have some young players still (Kanter, Waiters, Ibaka)...

BUT, they'v got a max guy on their bench, they've changed coaches, they've been injured, they've been healthy...

Obviously you always want to keep that window open and KD is a dominant player, you'd want to keep him, then trade Westbrook ....

Anyway, point is, a series loss here, and it seems like it should definitely be time for big changes in OKC, whether KD stays or goes. They can't just go into next year thinking let's try again.

if morey strikes out on KD, i wonder if morey then does nothing and kicks the can once again, till summer 2017. maybe he even recycles the same unspoken narrative of preserving capspace to go after harden's good friend, this time westbrook. we can be $60M under the cap and sign 2.5 terrific MAX free agents

If Morey did that, Rockets fans would later (after the disastrous 2nd season in a row) find him in hiding and hang him up by his heels like the Italians did to Benito Mussolini and Clara Petacci.

by 'us', you must be referring to the collection of useless rookies here as a whole, right?

i'm not sure what other big names are even worth spending big money on this offseason though. conley is always injured and horford doesn't rebound. that leaves lesser name players who probably won't appeal to uncle's les' need for a splash to sell season tix

    1) Get a coach first

    2) See what system HE wants to implement and not MOREY

    3) Do a triage on each position and the players for that position..

Get players that can play within the system that the coach is putting in place..

    1. Ok, and i think this is what they're going to do

    2. I'm not sure you can find a coach out there with a system in the way i think you mean...as today most of the teams already are playing a sort of read and react system, coaches like Adelman, Jackson seems to be the past, look at Blatt (a real coach, not a player coach like McHale), i'm not sure how much the Cavs were playing Blatt's basketball, like, at all...in today's basketball you need more a leader on the bench, and yeah, a great defensive system, here is where i think we should make a push.

    3. Ok, but i was asking the grown man some names, cause i see a lot of whiners but no one seems to have an idea if not some bs like "just sign Anderson and Afflalo" -> which is ridiculous.

I mean, there's really a lot of anger and negativity here right now that's just depressing...it's like we've been the Kings these past years and some random online warriors like the grown man really believe that they can teach Morey how to do his job...

As you can tell I lowballed the roster. There should be enough money to go find some decent shooters. The warriors were able to crush us so bad because we simply had the worst shooting performance of any playoff team. Our Small foward position was in fact canceled offensively. Our point guard position averaged 12 pts combined. Dwight turned into Asik at best.... I think Durant and Harden would give this team so much help on the offensive end it could hide our defensive weaknesses....much like the steve nash led suns..

Durant is not going to Gs or Sas. In fact Houston has an advantage to get kD over these two team simply for the fact that Houston as a city and a sports city is much more appealing to A young superstar who is looking for a leagacy to leave.

Duncan and his oldtime squad have their legacy. 5 rings in the last 17 odd something years, Durant isnt joining a team that he had no part in grtting 5 rings with just to remembered in the shadows of Duncan, Ginoboi, Parker, Kawahi.

Same with Goldenstate. Trust me Durant does not like all this 73 win team and hes not apart of it bull****. KD knows if he joins Golden state, he is joining Currys team, that team ewill never be his team no matter how many rings they get together ala lebron joining Wades team.

But Houston, muwah. Houston is a perfect fit in terms of what is alining with KD desires. Kevin wants to be the man? He will be in a Houston, Kevin Durant seems like one of the few superstars imo that can mesh well with Hardens style of play. That being said, Houston still can offer KD a fresh start as THE Guy, another max free agent plus Harden+ Beasly(who you know damn well will be in the meeting this summer with KD amd Harden.) an underrated and stacked young team in Harrell, Kj, Gouldlock.

The negative nancies eho arent giving the Rockets any chance to nab KD are just not seeing the big picture. The Rockets are probably the favorites right now, hence all of the media hate on them!
