I really do not understand this board's obsession over Chandler Parsons. He is an above average but not max level player that (understandably) took more money to leave the Rockets. Over 2 years ago. Why don't people post the Twitter updates of Marcus Thornton? Or Aaron Brooks? Or Carl Landry? Or Omer Asik (lol)? Parsons doesn't play for the Rockets anymore. And with how much money he will be looking to make plus his injury history, I hope he doesn't play for the Rockets again. Move on. And don't post his stuff in GARM.
Way more athletic than Ariza and could hit the 3 at a better rate as well. Probably also a better defender than Ariza at this point.
Lol nobody getting it, this is just too hilarious. The picture was your first clue, hahaha your second...
That is not the point. He isn't a max player. He is already making 15 M plus, he will demand 18 M or more in the future. He isn't a stellar defender, ball handler, passer. His knee injury will leave him suspect to more problems in the future. His biggest problem is that he is a big mouth and arrogant, and overrates himself.
He was a great example of a guy who FIT in with the chemistry of the team that the org went cheap and ****ed it up. DD
You can say what you want about Chandler Parsons, you might not like him, but he was a good chemistry player who got along with James Harden and Dwight Howard on and off the court. That was something that went missing this season. Moreyon ruined the team by being delusional thinking he had a shot at big name free agents. No way Moreyon is getting Durant.
I'm glad they went cheap. He is not worth a max salary even when healthy, much less as injured as he has been the last 2 years.
There was a clear plan in place to resign him AND Bosh = opposite of cheap. When Bosh reneged the Rockets made the smart choice, choosing not to pay a player who has barely played any games during the duration of his new contract. If you meant they went "smart" - that actually makes sense to me. Went "cheap" - you lose me.
The org had more success without him than with him. The org has had more success than he has since moving on. But yeah, we messed that one up.
Arguable. Parsons was being paid 15M and will try to get more. Ariza is getting paid 7.8M next season and 7.4 the season after that.
LOL...nevermind his injuries, right? He had back and hamstring issues his last year here....what's next in that line? the knee....guess what he hurt the last two years? I'm sure they took that into consideration.
