I kind of felt that way too, but then I thought that well Dany still needs to make her way across the narrow sea. Then she will probably go towar with the false kings and then end of fighting the white walkers or something. If they're trying to do all that I can see why they're rushing
How about the dragons scene? "I'm friends with your mom!" "Next time I have an idea like that, punch me in the face!" Language usage a tad too "modern". The writing has gotten sloppy.
People should remember these two phrases for Jon Snow's revival. "What's dead may never die" "All men must die"
Two lords assassinated and Jon Snow resurrection in one episode? I agree with you guys when you say it feels rushed. After the slow burn of the last couple seasons it's disorienting. Roose Bolton's death was unsatisfying. All the moving and shaking going on in just the first couple episodes I can only imagine what is going to go down in the traditional epic penultimate episode.
Agreed, neither of the deaths or the resurrection had much impact, IMO. Maybe it's more a case of all of the surprises and shock value in the show being gone because of the big events in previous seasons. Nothing is really surprising anymore.
Agreed...the season premiere was disappointing to me too, but it did set up the events of this episode nicely. I'm glad they didn't drag out the resurrection and screw with the fans the way the writers of TWD did. I also loved the scene with Theon and Sansa when he told her he wasn't coming with her to Castle Black.
I kind of thought Oathbreaker is the opposite of Oathkeeper, which means Brienne is going to mess up and lose Sansa to Ramsey. Also, Ramsey Bolton... this guy is unstoppable. He's like the Warriors version of Game of Thrones. He will never lose. Never.
Very true regarding Ramsay. The Warriors stabbed the guy who pretty much made the well oiled machine (Marc Jackdon); same way, Ramsay stabbing the guy who pretty much built House Bolton to its current status.
Hold on... wait.. Does this mean Tyrion is a Targaryen since he to talks to the Dragons and they understand him? I think someone put some voodoo on Hodor to only say "Hodor" because he knows something about someone. Could it have something to do with R+L=J? Why else would they put Ned, Hodor and Lyanna in the same scene when they were young? Hodor is Game of Thrones R2-D2.
I read some reviews from other sites, mainly just to see the reaction of the show, and it just annoys me how everyone (in the comment sections), said the same thing, "It was so predictable, not shocking at all. Well that's what happens when one person has a theory, Makes a video about his theory, millions watch it, and now act as if they were the ones that figured all of this out on their own. I thought the final scene was extremely well done. Everything leading up to it. Melisandre having her doubts in herself, and Davos basically going against everything he believed in as he despised her previous showings of her power, and almost begging her to bring him back, and giving her a pep talk lol. My favorite part of the last scene may seem rather pointless and simple to some, but when Malisandre finished her spell, looked down with desperation and just whispered "Please". Not sure why but that was just powerful to me. Can't wait for the Tower of Joy.
I thought the same. Also Davos' eff all of them line. Seems like writing from the show runners more than GRRM.
I'm still missing the part where Davos is suppose to care about Jon Snow, other than Jon being his ex-liege's brother's best friend's b*stard kid. Granted he doesn't have much of anything else to do. Agreed with the feeling that story plots seem rushed. It seems like they are compacting 4-5 books of content into 2 seasons. At least no one can complain that nothing's happening.
This video will show the significance of "please". It is not her power, it is the power of the lord of light. https://youtu.be/W2MGg_8TF9g
It completely isn't hand waving. It's been established that death isn't final several times now. Khal Drogo coming back from the dead. Beric Dondarrion comes back from the dead several times using the same type of magic. And Cersei's new bodyguard. So it's not like this is some new thing. While it seem Melisandre didn't do much to bring him back it was also true of Thoros and Dondarrion, Thoros says he didn't do much and it was really just the Lord of Light. So it's all pretty consistent and really that is the reason it was so predictable. That's not a bad way to be predictable, if it's predictable because of everyone picking up on the clues then that's good. Any ways I figured they'd kill Roose, they had to let Ramsay go and now that no one controls him he pretty much presents himself as a danger to all.
