Durant: Great coach is very important for a team!

Morey: Coach is not that important.

Parker, Duncan, west have all shown they will take less to stay in SA.

Diaw, Green, Martin all seem like guys who would willing to do the same.

Would like Durant on this team as much as the next guy but man does this guy act like a diva.

Fits right in. I don't care too much for Durant to be honest. He can take his **** elsewhere.

“Having a very good coach is probably the most important thing in this league. You can have all the great players you want, but you have to have somebody to orchestrate it. That’s what they have. They have great players, but they also have a great coach to put them in position to utilize all their strength as individuals and make it come together as a team.”

    Thunder disaster sets up another

Haha. Of all the foolishness I've seen from other posters, I can confidently say you would make the worst GM out of any of the posters on here

If Durant's priority is great coaching, Rockets are eliminated right off the bat. There are only two choices:

    1a.) Pop
    1b.) Kerr

    And Brad Stevens, Carlisle, Spoelstra

Morey is right, Coaches don't matter outside of the elite coaches. Unless you can unearth one of those you are SOL.

I'm sure that Hakeem will eventually be at the meeting (as always lol).

On paper it's very possible, but they need to clear the bench and trade Green so i don't know, to me doesn't seem a Spurs move since they'll a very short rotation, but maybe for Durant they're ok in taking a risk...

Overall Pau make more sense imo, cause he can eventually replace Duncan, and will be a lot cheaper than Durant anyway...with the difference they'll probably be able to keep Green and/or all the bench...

Like GSW the Spurs don't need Durant at all.

As crazy as this may sound I don't know if he even makes either of those teams better. They have number one scoring options in curry and Leonard up top and the Spurs have the best offensive big in the league imo in LMA.

I really think adding Durant to either team is not a smart move, the chemistry is important for both those two teams and durant while talented as they come doesn't fit what both those teams do. He's still an ISO player who's best with the ball in his hands.

He won't be the number one option in either team especailly not the Warriors and on the Spurs they haven't had anyone Avg. more than 23 ppg since David Robinson.

KD may like what they do but he wants the lebron James treatment imo and wants to win like lebron won in Miami were he's the top dog and plays with another two supertar/Allstar that he's clealer better than.

Houston with harden and cap space is still his best option for that if he decides to leave Westbrook.

On a side note, Westbrook to me is super overated he can't shoot and relies way to much on his physical gifts. I do like that he's competitive as the come but imo if he's your second best player you can't win. I mean he plays with durant he's never going to have a better running mate. His poor outside shooting is what's limiting the thunder, if he was a threat to hit the 3 it would be different but every team wants him to shoot outside he makes them at a Corey brewer type level.

He's overated big time harden is a much better player imo and it's not really close. If some of you think harden stat pads well russ is the biggest stat padder in the league. He seeks triple doubles and is not effecient at all.

All Spurs have to do to get Durant is dump Green and Diaw.

Or they can keep Green if they get Duncan, Ginobili to sign for vet minimum and dump Mills/Diaw

Either way they go, it would be very easy for the Spurs to make the space for Durant.

Also very easy for Warriors to make space for Durant, all they have to do is dump either Bogut or Iggy, along with Livington and Thompson. Also would have to waive Barnes cap hold, unless they trade both Iggy and Bogut.

KD will need to humble himself if he plays in SA. Pops a REAL COACH and knows the strength/weakness of each player. Spurs also wont destroy their team to overpay KD so he will have to choose between winning and $$$

I would join SA in a heartbeat if I was him if a NBA championship is the mission.

LOL, just like they had NO CHANCE in getting Howard.....

Houston gives Durant one of the best chances to win while being "the guy", if he goes to the Spurs he'll just be riding coat tails.

Miami Heat with Dwyane Wade put themselves into position to get LeBron and Bosh.

Houston Rockets with James Harden put themslves into positon to get KD and Horford.

Firstly, there is no such thing as overpaying for Durant. His max will be a underpay.

Secondly, the Spurs would neither have to destroy their roster, nor would KD have to pick between money and winning. Replacing Green and Diaw (or just Mills and Diaw) with Durant is not destroying their team in any way shape or form, it just makes them way better.
