With the Marlins winning the Wildcard, the winner of the NL Central will face the Braves in the first round.

I don't know. 2 more games or 5 more games.

Everything is happening exactly the way it's suppose to happen.

    Don't sweat it.

The cubs will lose a game to the pirates this weekend.

The Stro's will win their next two games.

There will be a one game playoff monday.

"Roy Oswalt is the guy who has carried the Astros all year long." - Sportscenter right now.

    Do they actually follow baseball?

I've got to say, there is nothing more depressing than watching your team be blown out of the game in 2 innings of play. I don't remember ever seeing an Astros pitcher pitch as bad as Miller did against the Giants, and now Robertson here against the Brewers. And then the bullpen come up and surrender an addition 5 or so runs. It's just horrible.

:( Cubs back into first place. Astros suffer another terrible defeat, that's twice in 4 days.

Of course he did later follow with "Roy Oswalt will not lose if it comes down to Monday."

To lose would have been disappointing but to lose like that was just pathetic. And to the freakin Brewers too!

Absolutely pathetic. Man...that was one of the worst games i have seen this season, that and the Giants game. Both of those were so frustrating, the pitchers made me feel like i could do better out there. They werent even close to a strike.

In the midst of a really tight pennant race that may go down to the wire. Astros record over the past 8 games: 3-5!! Dropped 2 out of 3 to the Cards and the Giants, and now 1-1 with the Brew-crew. Gotta play a whole lot better than that if you're going to get it done. Sad part is, they're still in it. Cubs magic number is 3. If they sweep today and the Astros lose against the Brewers, the season ends today itself. Here's hoping for Villone to pitch his @$$ off today, or a big offensive explosion or something, and a split for the Cubs against the Pirates. Prior starts the first game and Clement starts the second for the Cubs. Prior threw 130+ pitches last time out, he gets another day of rest now. Clement is a mystery. He has nasty stuff, but is akin to our Timmy Redding, if you ask me. All the tools, still manages to struggle at times. This is the third DH for the Cubs this month. They've split the last two including once against the Pirates earlier this month. I still have faith. Check back in tonight to see how much hope remains. One thing is for sure. If we're tied going into Sunday,we start Miller who does well against the Brewers. The Cubs go with Wood, who has not been lights out every time out. For a one-game playoff, we'd start Roy, and they'd start, Shawn Estes. Go get 'em Astros.

Roberson was just off last night, but I'm glad Jimy pulled him...

Unfortunatley, the rest of the SEVEN pitchers sucked...

No run support, but damn, 12 runs given up...Pathetic...

No sense of urgency...Lets hope they pull out the last two and the Bucs win at least one of the dbl headers today...

    Go STROS!!!

i have a feeling theres going to be a one game playoff:

astros win today, cubs split. then both astros and cubs win tomorrow, and the one game playoff on monday.
