I can only say allround guys like Hakeem who was playing even better in the playoffs are easy to root for, and to understand.

Complex players like Harden whose shot is on and off, who is clutch one game and the other game he is not, inconsistent as hell,

hard to follow what they are doing, hard to understand their game

I can only say the end result, winning ships, winning awards, winning everything will make Hakeem immortal

    while Harden is still mortal.

Briand needs the Ned Stark treatment. You just don't do what he did and get to stick around.

I'm mainly referring to the voting which is frighteningly close.

I doubt that Braid is a alum of any university.

It really doesn't matter what Harden does his teammates suck. IT TAKES A TEAM TO WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP. Not yelling just emphasizing.

    this x 1000

1986-1987 Micheal Jordan : avg 37 PPG but the team was 40-42

2002-2003 Tracy Mcgrady : avg 32 PPG but the team was 42-40

2005-2006 Allen Iverson : avg 33 PPG but the team was 38-44

2006-2007 Kobe Bryant : avg 32 PPG but the team was 42-40

2008-2009 Dwayne Wade : avg 30 PPG but the team was 43-39

I guess they were all losers too, even though all those teams would have fared much worse if it weren't for a single superstar carrying them night-in-and-night-out.

Interesting how Chicago Bulls still managed to win 55 games even after Jordan retired. Interesting how even Lebron had to team up with Wade & Bosh to finally get that ring.

As if it takes 5 players to win, and overall talent level, not just one player's, and good coaching absolutely matters in building a great team. Who knew, huh?

He will defend Harden's stats to death like you attack folks in the Lin thread.

Same energy but different causes, other end of the spectrum

Harden already exceeded my expectations in OKC along with Wbrook....both even on the brink of surpassing Durant

and I guess he had better chance at winning it all in OKC than here. 9
    Sorry to admit that.

This has been a big problem with the thinking on Clutchfans and I don't know where it started. "Harden needs to be a better..." Insert whatever BS leader, defender, blah blah blah. The truth is you don't blame the only guy producing, you try to get other guys who can produce. This is why you see me defending Harden so much. It's not that I think he's perfect. I just don't expect him to be. He's got defensive problems that drive me crazy but he produces. The Rockets have a personnel problem and that includes coaching.

Same here. It's not that Harden is perfect, obviously he has his flaws, but oh boy would this team be absolutely nothing without Harden.

I mean it's one thing if we under-perform with several all stars or superstars on this team. but who the heck do we have besides Harden?

I just don't get it man. at least surround him with good players and let's staring talking. and no, declining, unathletic Dwight doesn't count.

And it doesn't take a genius to see that this dude isn't a Rockets fan.

cherry picking stats on Hakeem's year he dominated the league on both ends of the court to defend Harden over Dwight?

Any Rockets fan who watched the season could tell you that Dwight was on a decline.

That dude will get experience the full power of the Clutchfans deathstar soon

The org will give him couple of years to prove his worth, some might like Harden and some do not.

It is all good. At the end of the day it is hinging on fate and if fate wants Harden to lead the Rox to a championship then he might do that.

If not, that never materializes. I follow
