Your best player (Harden) must play both ends of the floor. Nobody wants to play with a guy that takes as many shots as he does and refuses to play D at an acceptable level. He is a part of the problem along with an aging center with a simple game.

    Question:

Would this Rockets team be able to beat the Sixers or the Lakers this year if there was no Harden?

Ariza- Trash. Someone voted this dude for Defensive player of the year!!
    Dmo/TJones- Trash
    Dwight- Trash
Bev- Utter Trash. Defensive stopper? He got torched by Ian Clark and Livingston

I won't even talk about the bench and SEWER, CRAP!!!

This team is horrible. No wonder the players gave Harden the MVP last year. All the NBA Players knew the Rockets were trash last year. We finally found out everyone on this team is trash except Harden.

For starters, having a 5 that plays the PnR game 100% of the time, instead of wanting the ball and being crap with it in the post. (DeAndre Jordan, Whiteside, Tyson Chandler, etc.)

Better shooters than Brewer / Ariza / Terry.

Another guy who can create shots. Lillard and McCollum can co-exist; why not Harden and another scorer?

You can't build a team around him. He's not a No. 1 leader on a championship squad.

    He's a No.2

We just really need players that try..never seen such an embarrassing effort in the playoffs. Look at Courtney Lee's play for Charlotte. Getting huge rebounds all series. The team as a whole is just such a joke

    Here is what we need.

Center - Rim protector with a mid range shot and can hit FTs - Whiteside
PF - 3 point range, high IQ defensive minded player that can create and/or pass - Draymond/Millsap
SF - 3 point range, high IQ defensive minded player that can create and/or pass - bazemore, jae crowder type
    SG - Harden
PG - 3 point range, high IQ defensive minded player that can create and/or pass - Conley

That's the problem right there. Get better individually? Not 100% wrong, but the first answer should be getting better as a team and figuring out how to make the whole greater than the sum of the parts.

THey get blown out by a team that really isn't more talented than they are minus Curry and the first response is everyone on their own needs to get better? The Warriors are more worried about being better together, not individually. Same way the Celtics have done so well this year.

Go 1-12 on just pure talent, the Warriors(minus Curry) are more talented than the Rockets? GTFO.

    YOU ARE DEAD ON!!!!

This is why the media is bashing them so much...

It has been proven time and time again... One player can not win against five.

    Jordan couldn't do it..
    Domnique Wilkins couldn't do it...
    Bernard King couldn't do it...
    Adrain Dantley couldn't do it..
    etc.. etc.. etc..

I mean I see your point. However every single player needs to get better individually on this team. Team ball won't help brewer and Ariza stop bricking open threes.

You will never win a championship with an aloof superstar like Harden, unless he is the second option. He is not a leader and will never be. He isn't wired to be a leader.

Why is Harden talking about getting better individually?

Shouldn't they be working getting better as a TEAM????

Looks at the Warriors. No MVP. NO problem. They work together and pass the ball around to get everyone involved. Warriors got better as TEAM

He will never accept being a second option on the Rockets... He may accept it on another team, but now this team..

    I do agree with you...
