I've had hell trying to completely download any of these trailers.

    Here's the main site...

    The Matrix

(sorry if this has been posted before...I just saw it this morning on Slashdot)

    Wow. Looks good.

I really liked the second movie actually. I wasn't expecting much acting, good writing, or a moving movie. I expected a kickass action flick and it definitely satisfied that expectation.

I'm expecting more of the same for the third installment.

God, if they have another car chase, I'll puke.

If they have another pointless extended rave scene or decide to show Keanu's cornhole again, I'll puke.

Oh give me a break. I would have liked it better if they extended every fight scene by 15 minutes, extended the car chase by 20 minutes, deleted the "character development" of Link and Lock.

Your nick is Deckard. Did you really expect Blade Runner quality writing, story, meaning, characters? The first one sure didn't have it. Why would the second?

I'll take as many car-chases and figths as they can provide. I can live without seeing Keanu's cornhole though.

    No, I didn't. :)

I would have liked more fight scenes myself. And the story line was pretty lame, agreed. I've just seen too many car chases. I was hoping for something more original. Whatever that was, the second film didn't have it. I enjoyed it, but not as much as the first one.

And yes, they can leave Keanu's cornhole out of the next one.

So, you guys liked the fight scenes with characters who couldn't be hurt or killed? Seemed like watching someone else play a video game, to me. I don't like watching other people play video games. Although, at least your little animated figure can actually be hurt in a video game!

I don't know. Well yes, I liked the fight scenes, especially in the first movie. And, as goofy as the plot was, it seemed fresh.

I still like my idea that at the end of the third movie, after everyone thinks things are wrapped up, you have Keanu take some contraption off of his head and he says, "That's a kick a** game! Needs a little tweaking, but I think it'll sell." And some DaDakota-like creature smiles and... fade to black.

Oh definitely in the first movie! It seemed like something was at stake, that Canoe could be killed ... there were so many things we didn't know yet. Once Canoe can fly and kick any amount of ass he wants, I didn't understand the tension anymore. It seemed more about "well, how cool will the graphics be in this next scene."

Saw the trailer before the Rundown today, looks pretty awesome. The only thing I dont like about it, its like Kill Bill, techincally its one movie split into 2. They couldve at least made the second movie its own movie like Back To The Future 2 and 3 were. But Revolutions looks awesome and loved how the people behind me didnt understand why that one other guy they found on Zion started to talk like Agent Smith, heh, newbies :)

The Matrix is just a very successful and , i'll admit entertaining rip off of every Hong Kong martial arts film. It would have been cool to see Jet Li in the movie, maybe playing an agent and kicking the crap out of Neo's b@#ch a$$

Yep. I've seen the same plot and story in 37 other Hong Kong movies first. All 37 movies also had a character named Agent Smith who wreaked havoc. The Matrix is 4 lam3rz. lol.

What's that you say? The only similarity between the two things you are comparing is the fighting style? Get out of town.

Fighting scenes in both Matrix movies were choreographed by a Hong Kongese named Yuan He Ping. Just think it would be interested to point it out.

i'm high. so i don't feel like explaining why you are wrong.

but besides using wires to assist in acrobatic stunts (how suspicious) there really is nothing other than the fighting style that the Matrix could have ripped off the HK movies you are referring to.

MY GOD YOU ARE HIGH! The fighting is what made the Matrix so popular . People thought ,oh wow those guys are flying through the air , doing those cool martial art moves . They think that it is something new, but really it has all been done before. Most people do not realize that the moves in the Matrix are basic martial art moves. I am not saying it was not entertaining I totally enjoyed it, but lets not kid ourselves into believing the Matrix is the greatest display of martial arts. Next someone will tell me Keenu Reeves is a real martial artist  P.S. drugs are bad for you :D

I'm a Hong Kong citizen. Let me tell ya something, although the wiring and flying stuff are old, the action sequence is original, making it enjoyable to Hong Kong audience as well. I agree that those fighting scenes aren't the greatest display of martial arts, but it's quite good, entertaining, and nothing old.
