Did you folks not read the JVG article by the Chron just implicitly states how Morey defers to his coaches and scouts on basketball matters and merely provides them the data to use or not use.
There is no narrative he should be fired, he built this team he extended McHale - and this is his fault. Most GM's get fired for this. Just because you call something a narrative doesn't make it so, this is my opinion - but it is based upon the facts above. I am sorry if your mancrush is under pressure, but that is what happens when you take the lead role...something I am sure you have never done in your life. DD
That dude is like LOF level when it comes to Morey, put him on ignore. The collective IQ of the board goes down when he's quoted.
I've ALWAYS ALWAYS been a Morey supporter. I remember when we had better teams than this which were just collections of spare parts. I thought he was an amazing GM who only needed a superstar and he could take us all the way with his ability to find diamonds in the rough. But this is inexcusable. He has a superstar scorer and a star big man and we're still this bad? If we had dealt with a lot of injuries that would be one thing. But we've been healthy. No excuse for this. Should have hired a better coach. Should have done a better job on the roleplayers and/or added a third star. This is a job-losing season. He will probably be fired after this. And he probably deserves to be.
Les extended McHale. Morey has built teams that have stayed competitive for 9 years now. P Most GMs haven't kept their team above .500 for 10 straight years (1 year of Darl being ast GM) under the guidance of staying competitive Your facts are incorrect and you straight up make up stuff sometimes.
I can't help it if I bring facts to the discussion when most folks use emotions. Some people think Morey is directing the team to shoot so many 3 pointers instead of being aggressive going to the hole or scoring in the paint. People like that just aren't smart and are emotional.
People seem to think GMs have the final say on hiring or more specifically that Daryl Morey has the final say.... Another incorrect fact brought to you by the Narrative Group.
Goodbye Morey - you did your best, it was not good enough. You will be a better GM learning from your mistakes. Remember, chemistry and style/fit matter, as does coaching. Good luck wherever you land next. DD

If you're saying Les is the problem, I agree. But Les can't be fired unfortunately, so Morey will have to go instead.
