According to my watch, only 16 minutes remain before the trade deadline..Anyhthing oing on? Are the Rocks going to do anything? ------------------ "Weathermen are simply con-artists with radar equipment. A 50 percent chance of rain? That's the same as saying 'maybe, maybe not.' Guess not. Rockets have good chemistry , I dont think anything big will happen. ------------------ "Break off the block like Maurice Green" --- Steve Francis President of the Moochie Norris fan club. [This message has been edited by Francis3 (edited February 22, 2001).]
WAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! ------------------ "Weathermen are simply con-artists with radar equipment. A 50 percent chance of rain? That's the same as saying 'maybe, maybe not.' I could tell you that!" - P. Mesku
Damn, I guess LA didn't go for the Cato-Shaq trade I was hoping for. Too late now!!! ------------------
I thought trade deadline = 5:00 EST? ------------------ The Rockets will be the NBA champions. Believe.
Damn, guess Walt is still a Rocket. ------------------ "Oh No..." -Bill Walton in 97 just before Stockton's buzzer beater
The trade deadline was 6 pm eastern, 5 central. There is the possibility we made a trade. Some trades might not go through or get announced immediately if they arrived at the NBA office at the last minute; unless, of course, said trade affects someone who would otherwise play tonight. There is, of course, the chance we stayed pat. Speaking of Pat, did you take Cato off our hands, Mr. Riley....? ------------------
Surprising that there was only one trade, despite what a big trade that was. Interesting how Vancouver stayed put, only letting Othella go after all that talk. I guess it's because David "I am God" Stern gave his blessing to the Grizzlies relocating. In an alternate, but not so distant universe, Shareef is packing his bags after being traded to Atlanta in the Van/Atl/NY three-way... ------------------ [This message has been edited by Relativist (edited February 22, 2001).]
Possibly 2 trades if that Juwan Howard trade with Dallas is true. ------------------ "Ive seen more class at a Pig Humpin Contest ." -- moestavern19 makes headlines again, and in the process leaves little doubt as to what Saturday nights in his hometown of Lompoc, California are like.
Mark Jackson just went to NY, so thats at least two huge moves today, three if the Dallas deal is true. ------------------ The Rockets will be the NBA champions. Believe.
Well, ok, maybe 3 trades... I just heard about a Mark Jackson trade to NY. Unsubstantiated yet, though... ... cool, I used a very polysyllabic word. ------------------ "Ive seen more class at a Pig Humpin Contest ." -- moestavern19 makes headlines again, and in the process leaves little doubt as to what Saturday nights in his hometown of Lompoc, California are like.
All I know now is that the Mavs are a weaker team. ------------------ "Break off the block like Maurice Green" --- Steve Francis President of the Moochie Norris fan club.
Mavs are much better with this trade...Howard can help this team a lot. They have Bradley cloggin the middle, Howard at the 4, Dirk moves to 3, and Finley to the 2 guard and Nash starting... That is a good team, DaDakota ------------------ If Mankind evolved from monkeys and apes, then why are there still monkeys and apes?
Howard isnt anything great. I really thought the Mavs traded Bradley but looks like he didnt get in the deal. ------------------ "Break off the block like Maurice Green" --- Steve Francis President of the Moochie Norris fan club.
