I don't think they teach that until sophomore year at UT.

i'd definitely like to see the thunder bitter their way to a title**. just literally play so angry from being overlooked (durant) or criticized (westbrook) that they can't be stopped. for once the whole "nobody believed in us" narrative would actually be true.

**technically i'd rather see cleveland win, but this is an ok(c) alternative.

I'm so impressed with the people on this board. You guys make me feel so proud to be part of a bbs full of people that know when to use 'an' versus 'a.'

We should take it one further and dedicate a post to "grammar rules and usage."

Does Cuban open his mouth because he wants a beat down? Last year it was saying we weren't a good team, and then attacking arguably the best PG in the league?

I wouldn't describe Clippers simply as unlucky. Biggest floppers in the NBA.

Cuban said it as politely as possible but he shouldn't have even said it.

Clearly, Westbrook is a very good player. But, he is not a superstar. Not every one can be a superstar. Now, that's not to say he can't become one. He's not there yet. Honestly, I'm not sure Durant is, either, partially because he has been hampered by injury. OKC had a window where everyone thought they were title-bound but fate got in the way. Superstars have won at least one championship (usually, two or more) and that is part of the definition imo. They propel their team to greatness and greatness is the top of the heap.

That said...Durant would say the same thing regardless. What's he going to say..."I agree!"?

I think there's a difference between star/superstar and a winner. While KD/Westbrook are superstars or at the very least stars, remains to be seen if they're winners.

I hear on the telecasts all the time "ohhh team XYZ has the advantage, because down the stretch they have the superstar go to guy." THen come gametime I'll hear the "ohh it's all Westbrook/Durant all the time" in the game commentary.

Ibaka, Kanter, Adams are all above average big man. Roberson's a fine role player that would've blended in just fine with some the championship Spurs, or Lakers teams back in the day.

No more excuses, there's no reason a combo KD/Westbrook shouldn't win a a title one of these years.

Nobody is commenting on the heat Charlie V got though.

Westbrook: "He can go home and watch 82 games next year"

KD mumbles: "He might not even be in the league."

LMAO. So thats where Charlie V's eyebrows went. Cause they got ROASTED!!
