I hate to beat a dead horse here but this team lost a mental edge when they lost mchale. Not the best tactical coach for sure but at least he could keep eveyone engaged. Rockets really need to pick up a quality coach this offseason

Also I get tired of lack of motivation being blamed 100% on the players.

You tell me if your boss told you to do something over and over again that wasn't working that you'll be motivated too.

Down 15 and nothing changes and the Coach just sits there and wonders how bad it can get.

    We can't shoot 3's.

We give other teams wide open 3's.

Man what a fantastic combination that is.

Warriors perfected Morey Ball with the cast of players that can actually execute it

Heartless. You could see the team start to flatline early in the second half. I suspected this could turn into a blowout and unfortunately it came true.

Pretty amazing how quickly this team folded except we've seen this before. Anything goes wrong for two minutes and these guys are ready to bounce.

    Bickerstaff:

We dropped our guard. You can see the difference the way they scrapped. You could see their intent. They raised their level of play. We didn't match the intensity.

Bad tendencies came back to hit you in the 3rd. Too unpredictable at times?

We let our guard down. No other way to describe it. They made all the hard plays. The battles, they made those plays in that moment. We didn't respond.

Most 3s anyone has made in a playoff game.

They made shots. Give them credit. Again, you go back and look at how many were created by us not doing the little things. How many off O rebounds, or in transition and not matched up? Give them credit. We didn't do a good enough job defensively.

    Anything different with James?

Our defense let us down. Our willingness to scrap let us down. James was aggressive. This was about our defense and failure to win any of the little battles.

    James minutes? Planned or...?

Just how the game was going.

Dwight good early on. 3rd Q, didn't have his legs?

Same for all of us. Intensity we needed was lost.

    Turnovers another big bugaboo.

Think about that first half and how many break opportunities we had. You gotta be sure with the ball.

    Defensive intensity missing with Pat?

Pat is the guy that brings that energy for us. Same way they did, we gotta step up for our teammates.

    Missed opportunity today?

Definitely. Again, there's a reason they're champions. It wasn't one guy who won. It was guys stepping up doing whatever it takes. Guys put skills on the backburner because it's better for the team but when they need to, can still use them.

We didn't match their intensity. Simple as that.

I'm sorry, but how many times were the Rockets blow out in the first 11 games, and by average or bad teams.

Before this season you are correct, but not this year.

Hindsight being 20/20, the J. Smith/C. Brewer comeback last year against the LAC has set this franchise back a number of years. Sure it was great to experience that and put Chris Paul in his place, but now we have this mess to deal with.

1win, 1 9pt loss, 2 blowouts. FA must be itching to sign with this roster, who wont be here next year. Fools who wanted the playoffs with their ketchup colored glasses are looking like this team, foolish and embarrassed. Lost an asset for nothing. Now theyre mad, like the Warriors havent been drubbing teams all season.

To be fair, the Warriors are the most brutal team I have ever seen in terms of punishing you for a brief letdown. We can talk about heart all we want, but what happened is the Warriors made a crap ton of threes in a very short amount of time, which took all the life out of the Rockets. The Warriors have been doing this all season. There is a reason they won 73 games.

I mean the turnovers were WNBA like. There were plays we didn't even look and just passed the ball without seeing who we're passing too. How do you do this in a crucial playoff game?

Did you watch that third quarter? The Rockets wouldn't even run back on defense off of missed shots. Hell, they wouldn't even walk back. The Warriors built half that 21-point lead at the end of 3 with uncontested dunks, layups, and 3-pointers.

That's not slow players or a bad defensive scheme. That's simply not trying. Even JVG was ripping them at the end of that quarter.

Also...lack of heart is not the ONLY THING keeping the Rockets from being good. They simply lack the talent.
