D&D is great because you can't really talk to family and friends about D&D topics unless you want it to go south fast. But here we can D&D without actually destroying real relationships, only internet ones. It's therapeutic.

Since there is only one person on this planet that thinks like me... I love hearing how crazy and f'd up everyone else is.

And I have certainly changed my mind on many things in here... but I very rarely change my position in the same thread.

I think the D&D has reinforced some of my views.

The majority of posters are very intelligent, so I appreciate the commentary and diverse views. Of course, there are a few exceptions...

The level of my absolute disgust towards everything associated with George W. Bush has increased over the years, as I have forced myself to read and attempt to understand the reasons that others admire him. I don't think that will ever change, unless the man publicly apologized to the world for such devastating decisions.

On a positive note, I have learned a great deal about different cultural and religious beliefs/practices from posters in here. I enjoy simply reading those threads and learning about concepts/issues that I would not hear about in my professional and personal circles. Good stuff.
