Okay, okay, I will tell you who "FF" really is:

FF is really the Fearsome Foursome which was the Defensive Line of the Rams of the '60s and included:

    Merlin Olsen
    Deacon Jones
    Lamar Lundy
Roosevelt Grier (who was later replaced by 300 pounder Roger Brown)

The pathetic factor can be determined more accurately with the already recorded posts per day feature. I would say that to achieve a posts per day of over five denotes either true dedication, or in other words, pathetic amounts of time to waste.

But what is amazing is that the most prolific posters on this board often do not raise their post count by numerous smilie only posts or LOL posts. Their posts are usually long and well thought out. Which leads me to believe they probably are more dedicated than wasting time. Alot of newbies use the LOL or the "I totally agree with you man!" posts to pad their count. These posts annoy me. If you just want to give anyone a thumbs up without any other commentary you can do it in your computer chair by sticking your thumb up or giving your monitor a high five. I am just in a bad mood and putting off going to the gym. It is leg day...:(

    I got the one. Smeg

Still would like to get a time. That way I can make sure I get to have wings with the rest of you. I am not worried about the beer. Thats gonna happen no matter what.

Right now it looks like I will be on the 4:35 bus and will be getting to you guys most likely at 7:30.
If this ends up being late I CAN skip out early, but I would feel guilty since I will be missing work all together friday. If I do and take the 3:30 bus I will be there at around 6:00.

Is there just going to be 3 of us? I thought the BBS had more than enough NYers to get together.

I beg to differ. Many of us simply have boring jobs. Really really amazingly boring jobs. Or perhaps we work with a bunch of saps who aren't capable of carrying on normal everyday conversation about things that most normal people talk about such as sports, music, current events, relationships, farts, p*rn stars etc.

    In my case, it's both.

I've been posting fairly often, then disappearing for a few days (weeks, months...) for just about as long as there's been a Clutch BBS. That alone is scary.

I don't really feel like starting a conversation with any of my co-workers; they all think they're "intellectuals" and you'd better come prepared to act highbrow and discuss great literature, politics (only if you're liberal), scientific advances, or computer technology. Or deer hunting. (which seems not to fit with the other things, but we are in the woods out here, after all...) Anyway, they're all like 50 years old or more. Which puts the average conversation at a level that's "older" than I want it to be. I'd much rather talk to the students, and I do some, but of course I'm not really in their social framework. The fact that I give the lectures and grade the papers kind of gets in the way, even though we're nearly the same age.

So I sit up here in my office, which is off in a corner by itself (thank goodness), and hit "reload" on the bbs instead of using my office hours to do actual work. When I get out of here, I will go home and take a nap. At that point, I will be home, my husband will have the Internet, and if/when I wake up the work will have to begin.

Hmmm. Any of them hang out in the Debate and Discussion Forum by chance?

Seriously, I feel you. I have nothing in common with anyone that works here except 1 person. Everyone here just talks about how much their kids piss them off every night. They don't think there is any music out there that doesn't get played on 104 KRBE. Someone asked me who I was listening to (on my headphones) yesterday. I said Dave Matthews and she looked at me like I was talking a different language. She's never heard of him.

    My daily routine:

Come in, log on, put on headphones.
    Work/post on bbs.
Take off headphones, go to lunch.
Come back from lunch, put on headphones.
    Work/post on bbs.
    Take off headphones, go home.

Damn, that sounds a lot like my routine as well except I work out before lunch every day except Wednesday.

The sad thing is with it being so slow right now, I am actually doing school stuff a lot of times at work, simply because I find that I have more time while I am at my desk to do things than when I am home at night which is not often these days, it seems.:(

I signed up to post about six months before my current handle, under "Kelly_Dwyer," but only posted 15-20 times under than handle.

Been lurking since the Lockout year, just started to let loose this summer.
