Pretty sure his philosophy is efficient shots, you realize there's more to it than 3 pointers? I'm more frustrated with how we NOT use our long, athletic wings to cut and slash. I think the modern NBA, specifically Spurs and GSW, shows how well efficiency works.
LOL. Who am I? Stephen Hawkings? Brewer wasn't started for his offensive but for his length and switching ability.
Sucks when the world is more complicated than hot takes, twitter, and other news related quick take, am I rite?
Are you kidding? We don't play anything like either of those teams, they all move off the ball, and share it. Yes, if we played like them, we would be much better off, yet somehow, both of those guys have good coaches, and an org that gets players that FIT their style. We do not. DD
Consistent 3pnt shooters with low usage and even average defence is extremely hard to find. Its not like the market is full of them.
The first year with Dwight we gave PT to sharpshooters like Trey Daniels and others like him. Our defense was trash, so we went after guys who mainly played D (Brewer, Ariza). Now we can't shoot and our D sucks once again. What gives?
What's ironic is recent PFs we've given up on (Scola, Patterson, Morris) all now have good 3pt shots and now would be a much better fit here than say, TJones or Smith. All 3 of them by the way are in the playoffs. 2 of them for Toronto
LOL. Maybe you should see where they get their shots from instead of just focusing on cosmetics. It seems you get stuck on 1 or 2 things and have trouble seeing the big picture.
The answer is coaching. Or maybe it is just the players not working on it themselves. Some teams are able to get average 3 point shooters and make them look better than they are; the Rockets players seem to get worse when they join the team.
There is basically no difference in the Rockets' 3 point shooting percentage between last year and this year. Last year they shot 34.8%. This year 34.7%. The Rockets defended the 3 better than any team last year 32.2%... this year they're in the bottom 10... 36.1%.
