Very true. I don't now they can live with themselves always asking the softball lob questions every time.
Usually before a big contract... But unfortunately after (now that Brewer's guaranteed for a few more years) he can laugh all the way to the bank, We'll need to see how he looks in 2 years before we re-sign him to max, I'm sure he'll be at all-star level then (Lolol, I'm not serious but ****kkkkkk)
like I posted in the game thread... when most coaches would bench a guy, JBB moves him into the starting lineup.... One of the only things worse than Corey Brewer's play - is Bickerstaff's coaching.... or lack thereof...
JBB let James Harden join in during a meeting of the brain trust today. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">JB Bickerstaff, James Harden and Corey Brewer during <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Rockets?src=hash">#Rockets</a> practice <a href="https://t.co/nU7u9lPTrE">pic.twitter.com/nU7u9lPTrE</a></p>— Mark Berman (@MarkBermanFox26) <a href="https://twitter.com/MarkBermanFox26/status/721785072353828864">April 17, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
I think Gabe0941 is saying that the Illuminati want Brewer to play. Hey, that's the only explanation that makes any sense. <BR>
I don't think JB is going to change strategies. Seems stubborn. Doesn't want to admit he was wrong. Brewer will have a decent game when we are down 0-3 so JBB can feel vindicated. McHale would make the adjustment. He did something like that in Game 2 of the OKC series.
Well, what he doesn't contribute on offense, he more than makes up for on the defensive end... I tuned in a few minutes late yesterday, but the very first offensive possession I saw Harden was on the right wing with the ball, and the play had Brewer running the baseline. Brewer was wide open... Green wasn't even thinking about guarding him. Harden didn't even bother looking at him while he came across (wide open), but rather worked the ball in towards the paint. Then, when Brewer had made his way into the corner (still wide open), and the Warrior defense converged on Harden, he passed to Brewer in the corner. Brewer promptly miss a three (by that time Green made a half ass effort to challenge his shot). Best part, JVG and another announcer joked about the play... wondering why Green even went out towards Brewer since Brewer hadn't made a three in months. Everyone (layers, announcers, the guys selling popcorn) all know Brewer can only score in transition (and even then he struggles). Everyone except JBB, that is...
Brewer is a career.287 3pt shooter. His 3pt shooting this season is not that far off from that. The difference is, he is taking a larger proportion of his shots from the 3 than he did before he joined the Rockets. He is the kind of player that you would not expect to fit in our scheme.
For a team that often seems to live and die with our 3 point shooting, we sure give a lot of minutes to guys that louse it up from behind the arc.
