Yeah, he statistically got there, but needed 2 more points for a true 29....not sure why they took him out, just let him get 40.

The radio said 36 for the 29, 40 was to get Rockets record for most 40 point games.

36 was to get to get over 28.5....40 would have gotten him right to 29.0...I believe.

    Averages 38.2 8.6-19.6 .438 2.9-8.0 .357 8.8-10.2 .860 6.1 7.5 0.6 1.7 2.8 4.6 28.9
    Totals 3094 697-1590 .438 231-647 .357 713-829 .860 497 608 51 139 226 373 2338

Yep, he needed 2 more points for 29.

Is this site ClutchFans or ClutchHaters? I mean I would think an achievement like this would get some gratitude and celebration from a fan site. So weird.

We have some really negative posters around here.

I'm super disappointed in the season but it's pretty cool that one of our players just hit 29/7/6.

    that's elite company.

Bottem line is we're going to the playoffs to play the team that beat us last year to go to the finals and were the eventual champs.

Now we're playing them in the 1st round which should be just fine with the posters who say last playoffs was a fluke. If you truely believe that then how can this year be a disappointment to you? We should be meeting you guys expectations with a first round loss to the best team ever.

But why does it bother you?

It's a great achievment for a player wearing a houston Rockets jersey.

#1, it doesnt bother me. why should it bother me? where did you get that?

#2, i dont feel thrilled, either.

#3, more importantly, i dont believe to be a fan of a team you have to be a fan of each and every player on the team. and that includes the franchise player. i thought that was a given.

Lol at all these assholes bringing up turnovers . We get it , harden isn't perfect . Harden also is our best player , was a legitimate MVP caliber player last year , and in this ( down year ) for team success he has contributed a lot to help us win as many games as we have .

You can bring up hypotheticals like " if harden would just play some defense we'd be a 2 seed ." Or ," he needs to share playmaking duties more ." But at the end of the day this is what has happened . I'm not satisfied . I don't think James is satisfied . Even with all of that , the man put up great overall production and has really had some tremendous games . I believe there are better ways to evaluate greatness besides raw stats ... But sometimes it's nice to just stand back and look at individual achievements like this . 29 7.5 and 6 , pretty damn good .

it's not about the turnovers. it's about the ridiculousness of a made-up statistical category of 28.9, 7.5, 6.1. If you can't see that, you have no sense of humor. Why not 28.927, 7.6, and 6.25? Why not 28.0001, 7.8, and 6.6666?

for the love of God, we are barely a 41-41 team with some MAJOR problems. I get it--Harden is great. I agree that Harden is great. I also think this team has MAJOR PROBLEMS. That doesn't make me a hater, a p***y, or any of the other terms I've seen slung around today. While I hope the Rockets acquit themselves well in the first round against Golden State, I am absolutely not holding my breath on that. I've been disappointed way too many times this season already.

And you know what? I actually preferred watching the James Harden I watched in the 2012-2013 season! THAT James Harden I actually liked. This James Harden? I have to be honest with you, I don't like this James Harden nearly as much. Does THAT make me a hater, or a p***y? I'm just being honest.

So go away with your mock astonishment at something being wrong with this forum. Something is wrong WITH THE ROCKETS. And just because everyone's in a good mood tonight because the team won out its last three games to make the playoffs, reality is going to come crashing down on all our heads soon enough. Brace yourselves: Golden State is coming. And they are not going to take the foot off our throat in any first round game.

And he'll be the only one of them to not help lead his team to a ring. At least he'll have that first. Until he plays NBA level defense, he's overrated Har_en.
