the car is a classic BB red herring, it won't be the car but Hector will somehow find out it was Mike; it will be interesting to see what the writers come up with need to go back and watch earlier episodes to see what gave away where the money was
Chuck is the Hank Schrader of BCS. Chuck and Hank play things straight as DEA Agent/Attorney, and are out there to do good. They each get in the way of the protagonists doing bad things. Technically, they are the good guys, but we still want them to fail because they are just so damn annoying.
It doesn't really add up in my mind. Jimmy knows Chuck is a stickler for details. Yet, he doesn't think Chuck is going to figure it out and, therefore, Jimmy doesn't try to cover up anything ahead of time except in regards to the documents? He could have paid the copier guy off that night he was altering the documents. But, he really had no idea Chuck would figure it out when Chuck basically figured it out right away? Jimmy didn't think this one through at all and/or doesn't really know his brother all that well after all.
It was an impulsive move. It wasn’t something he’d thought out before he went over to Chuck’s house that night and saw the files sitting there while Chuck was going through his attack.
Hank was hilarious IMO. But Chuck is absolutely terrible. That is one of the strangest TV characters ive ever seen on a show.
Yeah. Mike's quasi-Morganist belief system seems to have backfired on him. "They guy who won't pull the trigger" -- as Nacho says. Not only did his plan to get the cops on Hector fail, but a "good samaritan" took one in the face, and Nacho figured it out. He appears to be second-guessing what he did at the end, since a senseless death occurred based on his action (or lack thereof -- offing the driver). If BCS is largely about backstory to show how main characters in BB broke bad before, seems this is the moment Mike reconsiders his Morganist approach to being in the game. Ironically, in TWD, Morgan seems to be rethinking it, too, at the same time. If Mike were to plan this heist over again, would he kill the driver, instead? Maybe he doesn't even do it. Seems getting the cops on Hector was more than plan than the money...since he kept asking Nacho about it. So, yeah, will be interesting to see how the good samaritan's death leads him to being a "cleaner" and "security director".
“there are two kinds of heists: those where the guys get away with it, and those that leave witnesses.” - Mike in BB Dead Freight If you aren't doing the story sync on this show via the AMC website, I'd highly recommend it.
I agree with this. But... I also agree with this. Extremely well acted, but a really strange character. One of those rare instances where I absolutely believe the acting, but don't find the character realistic otherwise.
I really liked that song Mi Cucu the truck driver was singing along to at the beginning. Who remembers Johnny Z sampling that one in the late 90s?
I dont think Chuck is seriously hurt. And the more I see Ernie, the more I'm sure he's Gustavo's son. Especially since he drives that Evo, not a cheap car for an intern.
sick episode. Loved Kim laying into Chuck even though you knew the whole time that SHE knew it was Jimmy. Curious to see if the fraud ultimately drives Jimmy and Kim apart, if she thinks Jimmy hurt Chuck purposely, or if they thrive for a while as partners
Really great episode from beginning to end. Things finally come crashing down. A lot of the Davis & Main stuff seems so trivially unnecessary as the big plots are closing. I wonder how Mike and Jimmy will intersect their plots.
I think we're in a for stretch of Kim also "breaking bad". It reminded me of when Skylar started helping launder money for Walt.
My guess is Mike hires Jimmy to give the heist victim's family some of the money and Salamanca somehow finds out.
I think it was important for Jimmy to learn that he could never be successful at a big firm and that its not what he wants. For so long he wanted to be a lawyer at HHM and after working at Davis & Main he probably realizes now that HHM is not where he belongs.
So chuck has to be dead right? This has to be what pushes Jimmy to transform into Saul guessing next season we see the change.
Exactly it was important because now jimmy knows he can't do things the "right" way and that he is for better or worse still Slippin Jimmy.
