Holy sh*t, his arms are WAY bigger!

He's definitely not gonna have knee/foot problems to the extent that a lot of other big guys do. His legs are so massive it's starting to look comical.

from what I read, Yao Ming played 2 quarters, 18 pt, mulitple boards, assists and blocks. Dominted the paint on both ends. Chinese NT won 103-51. Funny to know that Syria team claimed they had a strategy to win this game.
Maybe only the final match between China and Korea has the slightest uncertainty. Chinese NT will win all other matchs by over 30 pts, I think.

In the 2 quarters that Yao was in the game, the Chinese team, or should I say Yao, out-played the Syrians 65 to 18pts! Yao also collected 12 rebounds to go with his 18 points.

But by gee, he certainly looks bigger after only one off-season. Imagine what he will look like in a few years time!

    -G'day-

    Yao's Stat

    MIN 20
    2PM 7/9
    FTM 4/6
    RB 12
    AST 3
    BLK 5
    PTS 18

    Got this from ************bbs:

Playing without Ming Yao (226-C-80). China dominated in the 1st quarter with Yao in the lineup. But when Yao didn't play in the 2nd quarter, China only won the quarter 22-19. They improved slightly in the 4th quarter when Yao also didn't play but still only won 26-14, far less than the score with their starting center being on the court. In short, China allowed only 18 points with Yao but 33 points without. Yao also had 5 of 8 China's block shots. It not only showed the importance of the star center, but also the reliance on him in the Chinese team, especially on the defensive end. The NT need to learn to play better without their center and in fact anyone else to truely improve as a national team, especially against such weak competition.

Cato's from Jupiter right? Wonder if his family made it alright after Galileo went into Jupiter. ;)

Physically, Yao looks impressive compared to how he looked last year. I just hope he has developed a stronger inside game, more bangability (just made up that word) in the paint.
