Watch McHale get another coaching job and win a title like Kubiak.

Rockets with McFail this season: 4-7

Rockets without McIdiot this season: 34:34

    That's an improvement

He was talking like implementing Red Auerbach's system but Morey and Harden wouldn't have it. I think Morey is the ultimately problem with the coaching. His strict blue print is a disaster in every phase of Rockets Basketball on the court.

Lol, we looked even worse than we do now with McHale as coach this season. We were getting blown out at home by D league teams.

Thibs will be better. We made a mistake not hiring thibs 11 games in and not giving JB the job. Were the rockets brass not thinkkng that JB is a less experience version of mchale

Mchale was all talk that was his problem. He did much of the same things JB is doing now yet you would have no problem saying JB is awful. Please provie references for your statements.

If Morey's been telling JB who & who not to play, then it maybe unfair to judge him

The only mistake they made was not firing during the offseason before.
McHale is not a good coach. He is just better than JBB.

It was never fair to judge him. He didn't ask for the job. It was just given to him.

Pretty sure Steven A meant the last couple of games not the entire season.

So OP...you want us to lie and say that McHale was a good coach??? Lying is not good for my (or your) health.

No, McHale was NOT a good coach. Just because he was the officially listed HC does NOT mean we got to WCF directly because of him. The teams winning % was always in spite of, and not a direct result, of him; that percentage would have been even higher if we had a true coach (no advocates, or Morey puppets) that knew how to fully utilize the talent and maximize its productivity (which all great coaches can do).

Look at Spo in Miami, when they got to the Finals 4 straight years, did people say it was because of "his coaching"??? HELL NO! Any coach with some semblance of a brain would have gotten to the Finals with that stacked roster.

McHale was OK, roster is just mediocre and people here on clutchfans have delusions about players ability, but in reality with just one good player you are not going to make the playoffs. But I guess its easier to blame coach and pretend this is above .500 roster. Do you really expect to win games when you start players like Motiejunas and actually give playing time to scrubs like Beasley..
