This Sunday September 28th @ 12:00 @ Reliant Stadium the Texans will face and beat the Jaguars. We beat them once last year and will do so again. We're a much better team this year (offensively), so we should be able to bounce back and get a win. The only concerns are our defense is hurtin real bad due to injuries most notably Walker and Payne. Also, we've had trouble in the second half the last two games for some reason, but the Texans will bounce back against weaker competition. Texans - 20 Jaguars - 17
I feel much more confident saying that the Texans will win this one.......barely. 24-21 Texans please, please, please dont start Matt "I cant tackle your grandma" Stevens this week.. Surely McCree is ready...please?
I don't see why you wouldn't start McCree against his former team. We all saw what Milloy was able to do. Texans 24 Jaguars 10 McGree starts and gets a pick.
LOL I love the crap people say bout Stevens on the BBS. Someone find out his address and we'll go light flaming bags of s**t on his doorstep and leave all his hate-mail along with it.
Everybody on board the "Matt Stevens Sucks" Bandwagon. Don't worry, I'm not being sarcastic... I'll be at the reigns. I also will be riding the "McCree for President" bandwagon Badiane style. Realistically, I think that Stevens will start this game, but his time is coming... don't you worry. I think the Texans bounce back in this game. They've played great in the last two first halves. I say they get a great week of practice in, Tony Hollings maybe gets some touches with the 1st team, and the offense gets just a bit more confident and cohesive. If we get some consistant yardage out of the Hollings/Mack "thunder & lightning" thing, and Carr gets above average protection, we will keep it close, which means we COULD win. I think we have to go back to the way we played Miami, loading up against the run and playing one on one with the recievers. We have to stop the run better than we did against the Chiefs... I know, it was Priest Holmes. I say the Texans keep it close the whole way and the rowdy home crowd pushes them over the edge. I also think Andre Johnson will have his first big-time game 5 - 7 catches for 110 - 130 yards and at leat 1 TD. Kris Brown wins it for us in a thriller: Texans 31 Jacksonville 30 All of the above wishfull thinking? Maybe... but I'm a fan, I can't help it.
I agree with what you say, but these two teams aren't gonna score 30+ against each other. The Texans WILL win, but they're not gonna do it by scoring 30.
Huh? Last week's line against the Chiefs 7 receptions 102 yards 2 TDs 14.6 yrds per reception By your criteria, he has already had his first big-time game. Here's to hoping for many more....
Didn't realize his stats were that good last week... actually, I didn't even look at his stats after watching that game... hard to swallow when we lose. Anyway, I agree with you Rockets2K, HERE'S TO MANY MORE "Andre Johnson is the man" POSTS.
Okay... maybe 30 each for these teams is a little much... how about a 27 - 24 Texans win. Does that seem more plausible. Anyway, I think the game will go much like the Miami game and the Jags game last year: we'll keep it close the whole time and our defense and special teams will pull it out down the stretch. Man, I can't wait until I get to see our offense REALLY win us a game. When do ya'll see that happening? the end of this season? Next season? Any thoughts?
Well, we better hope that Texans OL shows up for the game. And I hope Capers benches that sorry piece of **** Stevens. Someone needs to remove his sorry ass tattoos on his arms and tell him to go pump some iron.... Texans 20 Jags 10
Texans 27 Jags 21 A.Johnson 8catches 120yds 1td Mack 17 carries 70yds Gaffney 5catches 55yds Glenn 2Ints.
We need some Defense this week... and some more completions, less INT's. We need a win before the bye. We need the Texans to score at least 28 and hold the Jags to 7 or less. So there's my prediction... 28 7 Texans, in a should be stomp.
I don't think we will have a problem with Brunell. It's Leftwich that I am worried about. If he gets in the game, lookout
Rickey Williams Deuce McCallister Priest Holmes now fred taylor when is the Texan D going to get a break? Anyways Jags win by 2 touchdowns. Jags 28 Texans 14
