Great article. Long, but worth the read. My summary ++++++ Starting with the smiling con man Ronald Reagan (according to a Trump quote) Neo-liberal ( trickle down/ investor oriented economics) started shifting the wealth from the majority to the 1%. Reagan did largest percentage of this transfer with Bill Clinton the second most transfer. Obama continued this process and is between the two Bushes, Bush I less and Dubya a bit more. Folks like Hillary have no real idea or perhaps real care of how many people are suffering economically. Those that are suffering have had it with the neo-liberals such as Jeb and Hillary and will shift nationalist right e.g Trump in the US or Le Pen, New Dawn etc in Europe if there is not working or left oriented --Sanders type-- party to support unions, progressive taxation, the welfare state etc. which work to transfer more of the wealth to the majority. Hillary and her policies are the real threat to bring us the right nationalist threat whether in 2016 with Trump or in 2020 or 2024 with perhaps an even more dangerous right nationalist than Trump. ++++++ I am not sure I agree that therefore if Hillary is the nominee that she should not be voted for but I agree that it very important to keep trying to prevent her from winning the nomination and if she is elected it is important for those who want to oppose right nationalism as well as comfort the majority who are hurting to keep organizing including up to building the movement to primary her in 2020 if that is what it takes to combat the Wall Street neo-liberalism we should assume she will continue to support.
Part of it is that his house is not exactly in an area that has great appreciation. It is expensive to live in DC part of the year and if you don't trade on insider info/ connections to benefit off the office as almost all do, Congress does not pay that much. Same with educators at some colleges.
It matters to right wingers and their fellow travellers who consume their propaganda. A standard meme is that liberals/leftists are hypocrites if they do not give all their money away to the poor. Righties are not hypocrites as they never claim to be out to help anyone but themselves.
Surely, you should approve of Bernie's pension since obviously Bernie and spouse are more talented than you who worry that free college will engender more competition from additional graduates and thus limit your own prospects
He himself has clearly stated that this is his central, most important campaign issue. It has been the meat of his well-rehearsed stump speech for a year. It is clearly what matters the most to him as a politician. So again, how is it that he is utterly unable to provide a modicum of depth of understanding on these questions? "Uhhh... I think I'll have the power to make them do it... Look I'm not running them, they have to figure it out by themselves... No I didn't say I'd order them... Derp" Embarrassing. NB- same interview he also said you used tokens to ride the NY subway. It's beyond parody at this point.
um what? The first bolded is an expression, not an admission of ignorance. The second is from a very specific case. Why would he have intimate knowledge of an obscure legal case?

Amazing that Bernie's drones won't call people out on this type of behavior, but then turn around and complain that they aren't finding jobs after acquiring $xx,000 worth of debt from Alphabet Soup University. I'm sorry you can't find a job with all that debt and education because a visa holder was able to extend their stay in the US due to fraud like this, even while you are unwilling to call out this kind of fraud (and illegal immigration). Does this kind of behavior even make sense? I think that his supporters are the worst of it: they are out for free stuff (extortion). [rQUOTEr]U.S. officials accuse 1,000 people in phony student visa scheme U.S. authorities set up a phony university with a website and an office to nab more than 1,000 people they accused of conspiring to fraudulently obtain student and work visas, New Jersey U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman said on Tuesday. Federal prosecutors charged 21 brokers with felony charges of conspiracy to commit visa fraud, making a false statement, and conspiracy to harbor aliens for profit and other offenses. The brokers are accused of marketing their services to more than 1,000 foreign nationals primarily from China and India who entered the United States on legitimate student visas and wanted to remain after completing their studies, prosecutors said. ...[/rQUOTEr]
They haven't named everyone yet. Apparently there will be US-related news soon. Also, US tax dodgers use competitors of this company. One company is not going to have everyone's information. Btw, the US is now one of the most secretive systems now, Nevada and Delaware firms can bring almost the same offshore benefits. It's important to understand that Fonseca, like other firms doing the same thing, don't actually hold any money and work in collaboration with custodians, banks, etc. Oh and it's 200 Americans thus far.
Really? Because I have a quote clearly stating it's not. In fact if there's a single issue it's about rebuilding the middle class. Wealth inequality, unfair taxation, Wall Street, free college, and trade all fall under that umbrella. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-not-a-one-issue-candidate-but-he-kind-of-is/ What's Bernie Sanders's biggest campaign issue? If you answered "wealth inequality," you're right on the money. At times, especially during televised debates, Sanders has seemed to pivot every answer to a rant against Wall Street, big banks and the "1 percent" -- even when asked about other issues, like racial profiling of Muslim Americans or how big the government should be. And while Sanders's message has clearly resonated with his core voters, his critics -- especially Hillary Clinton -- are starting to call him a "single-issue candidate." CNN anchor Jake Tapper asked Sanders about that criticism during CNN's "State of the Union" on Sunday. Sanders wasn't having it. "I haven't the vaguest idea what she's talking about," he said. "If she thinks that income and wealth inequality -- and the fact that the rich get richer while everybody else gets poorer -- is the only issue, it's not."
They haven't, but one out of however many have been named is pretty damn low. Increasing taxes won't exactly reduce attempts to keep money offshore.
Bernie has definitely got the big MO. The margin of victory in Wisconsin was far wider than the projected polls. If he can do the same in NY and CA, things will get very interesting.
He also made up another 131,000 total votes. Which I think Clinton was a little less than a million ahead before this. Bernie is catching up with her in every aspect. He just needs to keep turning the tide on states from the current polls, as he has been for a while now.
