but Elway knows his quarterbacks right??? Obviously Kap is the right move. Elway always knows what he is doing when it comes to QBs!

I'm guessing the Broncos wouldn't have offered Kaep $30 million in guaranteed money. They did to Osweiler.

I think kap can be better if a team uses him right... I really don't know with Brock, he could be awesome but he could just as easily be crap. We shall find out soon enough.

The NFL knows what Kap can do... and what he can't do. Defenses welcome him to try and scramble/run... and they dare him to try and make throws. He has shown regressing ability to perform the latter without turnovers and just ineffective results.

He's going to have to get significantly better with accuracy, decision making, and just simply hitting the open man before he starts to have success again. You can't just run him out of the option/bootleg every play... defenses will eat that alive.

It's a bit hard to believe that some people are still on the Kap bandwagon. It crashed a long time ago when he was exposed as a poor QB and it has been sitting there motionless ever since.

What he can do with his legs can be exciting, but he's basically a RB pretending to be a QB.

You think we could get Clady?:

I'd gladly take Clady on the cheap if he gets released.

Blaine Gabbert probably does... You know, the guy Kaep was benched for.

Osweiler can make more than one read. Also Brock's not a locker room cancer

    We've kicked Clady around already.

    My perspective:

Clady is done. He had a Lisfranc injury (the same foot injury that did in Schaub - a break combined with mangled soft tissue and lots of pain) a couple of years back. Since that point he has been a mediocre backup level player when he can manage to stay on the field. If he hadn't gotten injured he probably would have been cut loose by Denver last year assuming they could have come up with another viable option. To play in space you need a fully functioning, nimble, agile foot that you can depend on. A perminantly aching club foot won't cut it against the best edge rushers in the NFL.

He's a paper tiger at this point - a big name because of what he used to be and not much more. He's not much of an upgrade from Chris Clark when you factor in his ability to actually be available to play.

That is when you know your career is doomed.

I wonder if Gabbert told Kap... "Whoa there motherf***er!" when he he took the starting job?

There aren't too many cases in the NFL where a QB loses it badly and all of a sudden has a bounceback year. Most of the time when they lose it it's because a.) they've lost physical traits a la Matt Schaub's Lisfranc injury; b.) they've been "figured out", a la Matt Schaub's propensity for having his out-routes jumped for pick-6's; or c.) they're plain shell-shocked, a la Matt Schaub's fetal position reflex. You can be young and have any of those things happen to you. Another example: A.) RGIII; B.) Vince Young; and C.) David Carr.

Kaepernick at this time fits solidly into category B. Odds are against him ever reverting to his old self.

Shocker! Kap won't agree to essentially pay Denver millions of dollars just to get in a QB contest with the Sanchize
