The Rock is half Samoan, half black. I don't think that's considered Asian.

Why do i know this? *sob*

yes, read my second post after that one.

    SJC:
Where is proof that Samoa isn't the country with the most gold medals in the last 8 or 10 Olympics? You only provided extraneous info on Germany getting many Silver medals -- whihc means it aint the best! Who's got the gold?

    :D

i think the samoans originated from polynesia.

wasnt there a huge samoan in the NFL? Munoz....hall of fame offensive linemen....arguably the best offensive lineman to ever play the game.

There are quite a few samoans in the NFL today actually, Junior Seau being one of them.

In 1995 Shaquille was stronger than olajuwon. He wasnt as strong as he is today. But he was a darn good center in 1995. But you take olajuwon at 6'9 and he just made a fool of him. Domination with the dream shake. Faking him up and down. Olajuowon was quick and fast.

Shaq was a powerful man in 1995 at 29.3 but being powerful didnt mean he dominated. Olajuwon was never strong as shaq but he dominated a strong man. How is that possible? Well He was simply smarter than Shaq. Thats what i mean when i say powerful is one thing. dominace is one thing. whats important is who is the smarter player. And olajuwon was the smarter player, therefore he outplayed a powerful man. I still think if olajuwon was still in his prime today. he could take shaq.

Bruce Lee was a Chinese brought up in Hong Kong. He was raised there, trained there and then came to America and got a citizenship, then he went back.

whats up, this will be my last reply to you, because I'm wondering if I'm arguing with a 5 year old. SJC already provided you with the official Olympics website which you dismissed, so here is a CNN link which every American seem to trust.

    http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/olympics/2000/medal_tracker/history/countries/

As you can see, Samoa isn't even on this list. Now they could have made a mistake on silver or bronze and forgot to register 1 for Samoa, but there's no way they couldn't have left off a gold. Which means Samoa has never won a gold at the Olympics and never won more than 1 medal.

As for Indonesia I admit I made a mistake. They didn't win 9 gold in history, they won 3, along with 4 silvers and 3 bronze for a grand total of 10 medals. In other words, I don't know where you get your news from.

Now we go to China which was the original topic of this discussion. In the last 8-10 Olympics, the medal total would be former USSR (Russia, CIS)/USA/Germany in some kind of 1, 2, 3 order. In the last 5 Olympics which China actually participated in (1984-2000) the gold and medal count would be former USSR (Russia, CIS), USA and China in that order.

In particular in weightlifting, refer to the IWF (International Weightlifting Federation link I provided you above).

    http://www.iwf.net/results/statistics/medals.html#olimpic-men

As you can see China won 7 gold in men's and 4 out of 7 in women's. As I already mentioned China participated in 5 Olympics (84, 88, 92, 96 and 00) and in the weightlifting competition 3 of those 5 I believe. It's ratio of gold per Olympics is far greater than any other nation. In terms of the World Championships this ratio is far more pronounced. Do some research yourself and see what you find out.

HAHAHAHAH man I guess you guys really hate the Jazz huh. Its
not the Jazz that I like but the way Stockton&Malone plays. You
guys gotta admit, They were a great tandom.

I know we're rivals with the Jazz and all. I just come to appreciate
watching great baskbetball at its best. I could sit back and watch
them perform the Pick&Roll all day. Its like watching a piece of Art.

SUre you can argue that Stockton&Malone are dirty players. But
hey if they werent they'd be SOFT players. We all know how much
    we hate Soft players!

I'm a loyal fan of the rockets but I'm also a humble fan of the
game. I LIKE WATCHING GREAT BASKELTBALL. Dont hate me.

by law and custom jus soli and the law of the soil, he is still a Chinese American (actually mixed ancestry) and we should be proud that he is. He went back to hong kong, not because he didnt believe in american ideals but because of racism and lack of acceptance by other Americans. He eventually came back to the US because he felt after his career he would be more accepted here. How do I know this? he's my grand uncle, He is more American than Bush is Texan.

You mean your grandfather was Bruce Lee's brother?

I don't know about his citizenship. But he definitely was of Chinese race.

And about the Samoa with the most gold medals thing, whatsup is either smoking some serious GRADE A+++ crack or he is a misinformed 5 year old Samoan. :D

I still can't believe someone was convinced enough to say something like that. It's like saying that the world is flat.

No, they made him a sh*tty shot blocker. He had one season with more than 1 block a game, only because he played just two games that season. Overall his career bpg average is 0.55. That's pretty sad for a 7 footer that got as much playing time as Kev did.
