    In the first attempt to assassinate a member of Iraq's interim government, nine gunmen this morning shot and critically wounded Akila al-Hashemi, one of three women on the governing body, as she was being driven to work by a driver and three bodyguards.

    Where in the hell were our armed forces?! I thought we were providing guard detail for the interim-government until the Iraqis can provide it themselves?! Did we think the new government WOULD NOT be targets?! WTF? Bremer has LOTS of explaining to do... :eek:
