...have the misquitos brought it up another level? This past month has been brutal. I played golf all this summer without a touch of OFF repellant. Now I don't step out of my car without it.

And is there anything worse than having a skeeter in the car at night when driving home?

The city isn't spraying as much as they used to. The mosquitos are HORRIBLE.

Last week, a four-footer swooped down and took away my firstborn child. All I saw was the huge shadow, and when I turned to look, I saw my kid's legs flailing as the skeeter flew away. I tried to get in my car and chase after it, but my keys were in my other pants, and it was too late.

By the way - down here in Houston we call 'em skeeters.

we have bird baths (standing water) and we change the water about every other day... it gives me great pleasure to see the mosquito larvae wriggling around in the water all so I can dump the water right out and watch them dry up and die on the ground... die b*stard larvae die!

i study biology. here are some nice fact about them (for those who do not know)

1 the mosquito that bite you are female
2 a mosquito onnly bites you once a day, he female need the blood for reproducing.
3 the mosquito that fly around your head all the time are male, looking for the female that want to bite you.
4 not al the female mosquito bite you, like long legged mosquito (i do not know the enlish name, and i think the latin name wil not make it clearer for you all) do not bite you
5 i do not think any of us will see the mosquito extinct, becuase they have been on earth during the dinasaurs.
i'm in a hurry so i will give some more facts when i have the time.
i thought you would al wanted to know this:D (yes i had this in a class that i actually passed:D )

Those aren't misquitos...I believe you are talking about what most call "love bugs". All they do is fly, screw and die on my windshield and bumper. What a life.

its not a love bug. I know what love bug's are. I enjoy those guys. Its a misquito, trust me. you have to have a very observant eye to see these tiny no good sonofabitches mating in mid-air. ;)

I wouldn't have that much of problem with them if they didn't inject that crap that makes me itch into me when they bite. I would just sit there all day long and let them feed off me, but they had to get greedy.

Don't forget that West Nile Virus, encephalitis and all the other fun things mosquitoes put in your bloodstream. Cripes, I hate the little bloodthirst bastards. I remember when I was at Paris Island, that is the home of the mosquito. Those suckers are the size of helicopters.....yuck!

You would think it would be getting better this time of year, but it's getting worse. They're even getting in my house.
