I remember that.. Leonard stole the ball on 2 consecutive possessions. Lin had Patty Mills on him at times also, which is a mismatch. Where he hurt them is driving at Aldridge, who is either a bad rim defender or didn't want to pick up any more fouls.
Pop had to choose between putting Leonard on Batum or Lin. Not a hard decision to make. Too bad for him that Airemy went in

that was a great interview and a good listen. I like Steve Clifford, one of my favorite coaches. Love what he said at 1:30, "The fight within your group is determined by your group." Good interview.
Clifford called out two things that Lin does well. One we know and the other most didn't think was a strength and even Clifford said he didn't realize. 1- Lin is fast, strong and can get into the paint and once he's there, he can score, drop it off or pass out to shooters. 2- Lin is a very good PnR and team defender.
After reading this Tinsatan, cosgomets, FTW Rockerts FTW, and any other lofh I missed, must be spilling all their beans..
Clifford gave these answers in response to the question of how Lin plays well and contributes to the team even when his shot isn't falling. But these guys don't buy the idea that someone can shoot poorly and still play well. And of course, if he's shooting well, they'll look at the box score and try to find another way to hate...
They would never dare to admit it, but deep down they are wishing to have a lin type of player here with the rockets.
Good on Lin that he's doing well right now. That doesn't stop viruses from infecting, insects from invading, chickens from laying eggs, or an evil individual from making making repulsive mom jokes.
The only reason there are LOHs are because of the insane Lin-worshipping LOFs. It's infuriating to lose playoff games because Lin turned the ball over in a crucial moment, but it's even worse when some of the Lin only fans try to deflect blame and blame other players on the team or pull the race card. It's a matter of accountability. Own it when you **** up, and that's something LOFs have always lacked. It's always someone else's fault, or it's a result of racism, or etc. To be fair a lot of posters on this board do the same for Howard and a lot do the same for Harden, but neither to the degree that LOFs do it.
The truth is I have not seen anyone here since I began posting to do what you mentioned about LOFs. I only seen very objective assessments of who lin is as an NBA player. I have mentioned many times, how inconsistent his game have been all his career and that he is no top tier guard in the NBA. It is the Lofh's that wants to point out anyone who is a fan of lin is both insecure and delusional for worshiping a scrub that is a mental midget. I believe he is not a scrub or mental midget, but a very solid middle tier NBA guard that can spot start and be the sixth man on any NBA team.
We must now join hands and pray for the sins we all create here in clutch fans. Tinsatan needs to repent before our rockets are doom for eternally. I am sorry you are repulsive by the mom jokes because in the late 70's they were acceptable as a rebound joke to another persons when they disrespect you first.
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/15062204/charlotte-hornets-hottest-team-eastern-conference "At opposing arenas, it happens all the time. Just the other night in Brooklyn, I was trying to leave [Barclays Center] and one of the ladies was like, 'Hey, I need your credentials for you to pass.' And then someone else was like, 'Oh, he's a player. He's good.' I'm used to it by now. It's just part of being Asian in the NBA."
I agree with u that in some sense they are in a similar situation, but there is one big difference between Harden and Melo (to whom some people draw comparison time to time), and that is efficiency. Harden is a career 60 TS% 2-guard with pretty good (and at times careless) passing skills. That makes him one of the most efficient players per possession on the court, hence, why he is in top 5 or top 10 in most of the advanced stats categories. Melo, on the other hand, is the poster boy for 'inefficient chucker'. I don't have anything against guy, but that's just his reputation, and all the numbers bear that out. His career TS% is only 54%, which is pretty bad for a small forward, and never once had 25+ PER in a single season. Very low on +/- stats too, further evidence that his offensive style is not conducive to winning games. So, despite some similarities, at the end of the day, Harden is a much better player to build a team around than Melo is, who has never been selected to ALL-NBA first team in his career.
