Thoughts on the rest of this year - how to go about it

    Ok, what a terrible year it has been, players playing for themselves over the team, complaining about touches, weak coaching, just a completely forgettable year, so let's get started on next year already.

    Sit Dwight down for a talk, tell him that you expect him to play hard on both ends, for the rest of the season, and if he isn't he is going to sit - doesn't matter he is gone anyway, so he either gets with the program or gets splinters.

    Take a longer look at players like KJ, Capella, DMo, Goldilocks and Beasley - find out if any of them are worth playing next year.

    Sit, Terry, Brewer, Tjones, Smoov - put them in storage for the rest of the year only brought out in case of an emergency.

    And if the team squeaks into the playoffs, get the young guys some experience, no need to cater to those that have checked out or won't be here next year.

    Let's get started on next year - NOW!

    This is such a good line. If Dwight doesn't bother to show any effort, just sit his ass down. Let the league notice and his FA value drop. It's his own fault.

    We need to think to the future here. Trade Harden, let Dwight walk, sign Parsons to the max, sign his brother Zhandler Parsons, re-acquire Vspan, sign DMo to the max... profit?

    There's no need for you to root for them this year or go through the pain of watching them right?

    Agreed. Play the youngest guys and pieces likely to be carried over to next season, reduce Harden and Howard's minutes.

    If a big FA haul is likely, it was really smart to get Beasley and Goudelock now on team options for next season. We might not have enough cap room to fill out the roster, and we'd be competing with at least a few other teams for these two.

    team's too stupid to think of the future. they should've gone with a new coach after asb, then after the trades they can build chemistry off the new system. give everyone on the team a chance to prove themselves. but of course they didnt and still doing this full r****d thing. ariza 5-18, dwight 8-9, 15-16 rockets ASSketball in a nutshell smfh

    I don't think a 14th pick is going to make that much of a difference, which is why I hated the DMO trade, I think a 5th year DMo is more valuable.

    There are some nice prospects in that range. This draft is becoming really underrated the way everyone is labeling to be a 'weak' draft.

    Lol, no... Most of us are too far in at this point... To be a Houston fan is basically admitting to being a masochist. Other than Olajuwon and 94/95 this **** sucks. Last year was probably a fluke and 97 sucked. Don't forget the Yao injury against LAL... Yao gets us passed 2nd round and done. I'm not bringing up the other 2 finals appearances... But... Hey next season, right???
