Jerry Lin came off the bench and so did Kilpatrick. Jerry played 30 mins while Kilp played 27 minutes. I'd assume a lot of their minutes coincided. Meanwhile Jerry was a team low -9, Kilpatrick team high +16 Jerry Lin was owned by this scrub and almost lost the Hornets the game.
Lamb and Lee guarded Kilpatrick for most of his time, Lin guarded Larkin so your assumption is incorrect. Kemba shot 4-14 and was a disaster most of the game, without Lin, they get there butts handed to them. You can spin any other part of the season all you want but to try to insinuate Lin didn't make a HUGE difference in the last 2 games is just trolling. BTW, 19 of 30 and 4-5 from 3
Wait, Jerry Lin fans who watch Jerry closely and live vicariously through him tell us Lin plays SG for the Hornets. So Lin plays SG for the Hornets and yet doesn't cover the opposing scrub SG? Is Lin that bad a defender that he can't guard some unheard of scrub SG from the opposing bench? Not spinning anything. I'm stating the facts. Jerry Lin was a team low -9. Yes or no?
Lin hasn't played much SG for the Hornets since they signed Courtney Lee. He's primarily the backup PG.
I didn't watch the game either but I'll take the word of someone who did. I did watch the GSW and OKC games and Curry and Westbrook are both POINT GUARDS. I noticed most of the time Curry doesn't guard Westbrook. This is Curry guarding Westbrook Spoiler This is Curry not guarding Westbrook (actually Klay Thompson) Spoiler See the difference? Notice Curry and Westbrook PG status never changed.
He plays point when Kemba is off the court..again watching an actual game may help comprehension. And that 'scrub' shoots better than any guard on the Rockets.. Keep trying though...
Popovich doesn't seem to think so: http://www.foxsports.com/nba/story/san-antonio-spurs-jeremy-lin-charlotte-hornets-gregg-popovich-032216
Just listen to yourself .... That's like assuming every time Corey Brewer scored 50, it was on Harden. Actually, that part was close to true. Walker -> Lin Lee -> Lamb See where I'm going with that conversation???
you're someone who is 'looking for a new team' and a 'fan of lin' and so happen to put 99% of your posts on this thread we don't need sherlock to figure you out
No one seems to want to answer some simple questions. Was Lin a team low -9 last night thereby having the worst +/- amongst Hornets players while the opposing SG had the highest +/- for the Nets? yes or no? Or were the box score guys unfairly treating Jerry Lin?
Last week, the flavor of the month was FG/FGA Today's flavor of the day is +/- Next game and next week will be Assists/Turnovers
x2 Jerry can score 100 points but if he's +/- (the most important stat in the game) is bad then Jerry is a scrub. LOFs think watching the game means anything but boxscore > watching the game LULZ
I mostly post in this thread because I figured that you wouldn't want me posting in other threads. Is that not the case? I'm happy to post in other threads and comment on Rockets games (tho I don't get to see to many of them).
Yes. But our response is that Lin was not guarding that SG, so we are wondering what your point is. And why is +/- so important to you now, but it never is when Lin has among the highest +/- on the team (which happens frequently)?
Lin is the scrub version of James Harden. Must have ball in his hands to be effective. High TO. Poor shooter and doesn't play defense. 3 straight games in a row where he has the biggest -/+ on the floor on either team. Basically, he gives up as much as he scores and he doesn't score much. How do you let a dude that just came from Ireland named Sean Kilpatrick go off on you for 27 points in less than 30 minutes???? Who does Lin think he is, Harden or Westbrook with that kind of D???
Definitely scrub version of Harden. Can't score as much points as Harden, can't give up as much points as Harden. Harden would score 50 pts and give up 50 pts to scrub Sean Kilpatrick that just flew here from Ireland. Harden is the real BAWS
